Used 2013 Kia Sorento Consumer Reviews
Kia should be sued for lying about mpg's!
While the Sorento is comfortable, quiet, quick, and well appointed, the poor gas mileage is a deal breaker! If we had known what it was going to get, which is about 23mpg's at best on highway, we never would've bought it. The number they gave at the dealership was 32mpg, which now, after being sued, they have adjusted to 30, which puts the Sorento below competitors instead of ahead. But we can't even get close to 30 ever!! Our Volvo gets exactly what it says on the sticker no matter the driving conditions. Don't be fooled! If you want it for other reasons, go ahead. But don't think they are competitive with Honda, Toyota, or others in this class. They continue to lie. It seems criminal.
Crap
Motor had to be replaced at 20,000 MI had to go to corporate office to get information regarding a recall that the dealer never told me about. Driver seat leather completely cracked dry and falling apart side plastic molding on seat has to be replaced twice have gone through two sets of brakes and 120,000 miles have had five alignments done and it's still is not right. Radiohead unit completely unoperable no power fuses fine this car I would never recommend and I hope somebody steals it out of my driveway

Faulty Engine
I purchased a low mileage 2013 Kia Sorrento and it worked fine for several years. In February 2021 the vehicle was recalled because the engine could catch fire. Nothing was found to be wrong with my engine but they performed the KSDS installation. I thought that everything would be fine with the engine after the fix at the dealership. In July 2021, while travelling on the highway at 70 miles per hour, the Check Engine Light began flashing and the car began to lose power. We had to pull of the road and had it towed to the closest Kia dealership. We were 4 hours from home on the way to our vacation. Mechanic told us complete engine failure and my car has been sitting in the dealership 4 hours from my home for over a week. My car should be included in the extended warranty and the engine should be replaced but we are waiting on approval from Kia still. I was told that they had no loaner car available and couldn't help me with a rental until repair is approved by Kia. I have no idea how long I will be without a car and communication is lacking with the dealership. Very frustrated and this is a known problem that is very dangerous for those driving recalled vehicles. I do not recommend buying any vehicle from Kia.

a lot offered for the money, the ride is a little stiff. I no longer own the vehicle, I purchased a 2017 grand Cherokee for its towing ability. the kia could only tow 3500, the jeep will tow to 6200

I bought my 2013 Kia Sorento in 2014 and sorry to say I have had nothing but trouble. Its been 5 years now and have had engine problems 4 times. replace engine twice and the harness once , and sitting here waiting for ray skillman to call me back because the engine light is blinking again!. love the looks of a sorento but im almost scared to drive it especially on a trip..Ray Skillman has been great so far, and has taken care of everything but this is just crazy.
