Love our Jeep Liberty!!
We just bought a used Liberty and we love it! The back door is my favorite feature. It's comfortable to drive, there's plenty of power and gas mileage is good. It drives like a Jeep, not like a car, which is what we we wanted and were expecting. If you want a great little Jeep to take off road and to the store, get a Liberty! Buy American!
great vehicle
I have had my liberty for 2 years, and I love it. After I got it I read a lot of bad reviews, but I haven't had any problems with mine in that time. It has had nothing go out, or be replaced. I drive a lot, close to 30,000 a year or so too. I love the 4 wheel drive it works great, goes right through the snow or mud easily. I think it handles great, I like tight steering. Overall I would recommend it to anyone. It's pretty small, but it is a compact suv. And it rides a little rough. But I like that, it feels tough to me. Gas mileage isn't great, but again, that's to be expected. No complaints here, I'd buy one again anyday.

Libertys Are A Great SUV
My son, sister and myself purchased Libertys in 2004. We are all happy with the purchases.
My Liberty
I just got it this past week so I am still learning more about it. I really like the ride. I traded in my 2003 Mustang GT because I wanted something a bit bigger. It's kind of better on gas than the V8 was ... that's for sure!
Don't Think Twice
I have owned Jeeps for years - the CRD is #4. I traded in my '02 Grand Cherokee V8 (even though I loved it) because of poor gas mileage. I was reluctant to get a Liberty when they came out because I thought I needed more space, and the 3.7L didn't get that much worse mileage than a V8 anyway. I've only put 1,000 miles on the CRD, but so far I'm in love with it. It's efficient, has a cool rumble because of the diesel, the build quality is great, and the Limited 28G package makes it feel like a Lexus inside. Jeep really did it right.
my fun vehicle
My Jeep is a fun vehicle with economy acceptable at 18 to 22. I like the tight feel of construction and maneuverability' It is not a road car but is enjoyable even on long trips. I would buy another one but I do not think that I will ever need one Go Jeep!
My First Non-Honda
We have owned at least one Honda in our family since 1978. When it came time to buy an S.U.V., we naturally looked at Element and CR-V. We also looked at Jeep Liberty. Friends are amazed that my steadfast consumer loyalty was upended by a Non-Honda. We are finding the Jeep Liberty to be fun to drive, a tough performer, and of course one of the cutest vehicles on the road. 6 CD changer, Infinity speakers, moon-roof, Command-Trac. Options all well worth it. I only wish I had gone with the upgraded wheels. Not as economical on gas as Honda, but hey...what price beauty?
Jeep Family
We just picked up our new Liberty. We traded a 2000 Grand Cherokee and we also have a 2004 Jeep TJ. So far this Jeep is everything we expect and more. My wife would take my TJ because she loved the handling and the tight turning to park just about anywhere. This carries over to the Liberty but with the comforts that she wanted, like the heated leather seats, sunroof, power door locks windows, etc. The only dislike she has with her Liberty is that nobody does the "Jeep Wave" like they do with the Wrangler.
The CRD Liberty
Just purchased the new CRD Liberty and love it! The diesel is a little bit noisier than my VW TDI, but it runs great. First 100 mile trip, you'll notice the diesel is only turning 1,800 rpm at 70 miles an hour in overdrive, yet has so much torque, that it pulls cleanly without downshifting. Gas mileage is already working out to be 25-27 MPG, and comfort and quality of the interior are first rate. We also live up a steep gravel road, and this baby climbs like there's no tomorrow. The perfect match--diesel torque and economy with Jeep's great off road ability's.
Hunk of junk
I bought this Jeep with high hopes. Boy that got shattered. This thing has had more problems than I can count. First it's not the dealerships mechanics fault but DC. They should give all repair facilities the equipment they need to fix them. Jeep has been in dealership more times than I ever could imagine. Took 11 months to fix the no start problem. Discovered it to be bad fuel injector. Had many parts replaced as a guess as to what was wrong. Terrible vehicle. I average 19 MPG. When first bought got upper 20'S and 30+ on highway. After fixed now its 19!
