Used 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
My dream car has become a money pit
Bought my 2018 jeep in 2020 with 30,000 miles. It was my dream car! Loved everything about it, but it has become a money pit. It needed a new fuel pump (it wouldn't let me put gas in it) , 2 sets of tires (which is on me), then a constant check engine light. Which resulted in a new fuel injector, new spark pugs, and so forth. Finally at 65,000 the engine completely crapped out. And the dealer told me that it was a common problem. So, It has been replaced which was a 3 month waiting game and they pretty much told me to expect the same problems down the road... anyways my dream car has turned into a money pit. Don't recommend.

terrible electronics
my touch screen de-laminated about a year and a half after i bought a brand new 2018 grand cherokee summit. cant listen to radio//XM. If my phones bluetooth is on and connected to the car, it will randomly call people. The screen self clicks buttons. i cannot get my tires rotated because i cannot disable the tire jack mode, which of course is accessed from the screen. seat memory recall buttoned also stopped working about a year after i bought the car. absolutely terrible electronics in this car. would not recommend buying this car and certainly will not be buying another jeep in the future.

Not moving just dead
After owning the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee for 1yr & 3 months the battery dies. I replaced the batteries (main$225 & aux $185) less than a week it dies. I notice a recall so I find a Dodge/Jeep dealership to do the recall in Feb. The dealership states this recall should fix the issue. They do the recall when I get the vehicle back the ABS light is on, traction light is on & cruise won’t work & the 2 brand new one month old batteries are dead. The truck won’t start again. I take it back to the dealership they say the recall has nothing to do with the other issues. But I need new batteries for them to be able to test it. I return & exchange both batteries. The dealership has my vehicle for a week & says the STAR mechanic says it the alternator. I purchase a $750 alternator get it put & 3 days later it dies again. Charge the batteries to drive it back to the dealership for the to say they will do diagnostic tests. I called them after having the vehicle 4 days for them to tell me the batteries are dead & I have to get new batteries. This is 3 replacement batteries in 4 months. The dealership has been no help & when I called the Jeep hotline their suggestion is for me to take it to a different dealership. There still is a problem that something is drawing from the batteries. I read many articles that says this is a problem with this vehicle but no one can give a answer. So I have been paying a monthly payment on a vehicle that I have driven maybe 2 weeks in the last 5 months. No one can tell me the issue & I am sure I am not the first person to have this issue. I feel that I bought a lemon. Very disappointed.
Enjoyable
Owned a 2018 black limited 4x4 for 4 1/2 years. Had most options, and the only problem I had was before I traded it in. The radio screen suffered from delamination, which eventually made the radio go bonkers at times. It randomly switched from AM to FM to Sirius, and kept repeating with the navi screen in the middle. There was no stopping it, just park it and it is fine the next day. However it will do it again in a short time. This is a common problem with Jeep. Other than that it was a great car that gave me 41k happy miles.

So luxurious
This is the best car I've ever had and I have had a LOT of cars in the last 10 years. It's so luxurious, drives great and all of the bells and whistles are totally worth it.
