So disappointed
I have had a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the past. It was like a little tank. Great ride, sense of safety, held the road. I loved it. Not so much with the 2014 model. It has been in the shop 6 times since I bought it in November 2013. Once for acceleration problems and 5 for radio/navigation inaccuracies.
Better than my 2 past Range Rover Sports!
I would compare the Summit Edition to be more like the higher end SUV’s on the market. Ie. Range Rover Sport, Lexus, BMW, etc. This is my second Jeep Summit and unless I suddenly become super wealthly I will keep buying this Jeep. : )

This Jeep is Amazing!
Bought the Summit in August, so I am just under two months in, and it is one heck of an improvement from my 2009 Overland (Hemi), which was very reliable and had very few problems. Ride and handling are improved, and the V-6 has plenty of power for just about anything short of pulling a large trailer. There was a problem with the Blind Spot Monitoring system, and the dealer just replaced its control module (less than an hour). My first trip during the first week yielded ~26 MPG, mostly on the highway. While I never buy a vehicle solely upon gas mileage, this was a nice bonus. Combined driving yields 22-23 MPG. The ZF 8-speed transmission makes this Jeep work well.
Should be a negitive number on the reliablitly
This is my second 2014 Grand Cherokee. Why? Because at 500 miles, the first one had a total and complete transition failure. Like could not turn the car off, take it out of gear, nothing. Should have walked away then but we had a bad experience with a Suburban once, had it taken back under lemon law, and our next 'burb was great. So my new car, a 2014 JGC Summit has had the following: Nav System failures - shows me in a completely different city than I am in, constant radio issues (we are now on radio number 3), phone connect issues, remote start doesn't turn on A/C, and now there are days when the car simply will not start. At all. Chrysler is crap. Beautiful car that will not run.
Summit - worth the name
Great family and robust car.
