Used 2001 Isuzu Trooper Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
Bought a road tank on six (6) leg wheels.
Lots of ground clearance. 4 wheel disc brakes stop this beast with no drama. Comfortable with a commanding great view all around with no real blind spots. Smooth 3.5 liter v-6 with adequate acceleration. Loved the two piece back tailgate and the rubber-plastic cargo tray that keeps the carpet underneath clean. Only fault is the poor gas mileage which in traffic is 11 to 14mpg.

2001 Limited an undiscovered gem
I first looked at the Trooper because of the unbelievable discount and 10 120M mile drivetrain warranty. I got a new Limited for about $25M. It is remarkable sturdy, well made vehicle. I've not had a single problem and plan to keep it until it (or I) reverts to iron ore.

There is Nothing Like a Trooper
We bought this 2000 Limited 4WD Trooper in May 2021 with 127K miles from Ferguson in Broken Arrow, OK for $7K. Service from dealer was superior. Had it shipped to AL and it arrived in 2 days on carrier truck. Stunning two-tone paint scheme, good tires,& spare, and everything worked. Since then I have put about 2,500 miles on it and changed rear springs (OME-EMU), bump stops, Monroe shocks, starter, battery, front windshield, . This is a grand vehicle with power (previous owned 87 Trooper II I-4) room, comfort and style. These are great Sports Wagons to own and drive. Sure they drive like a truck, use oil (3.5L V6), and need a little TLC on occasion; but if you can find one with relative low miles in good shape you will enjoy the ride. I have started using Castrol synthetic 5W-30 and oil use is 1qt. per 2k miles. Best gas mileage has been driving between 60-65 (17mpg) on a 90 mile trip. Around town about 14mpg. There is really nothing Like a Trooper, its hard to explain, much like giving ones heart to Jesus, you have to experience it to understand it. Happy Trails!

Trooper
Excellent storage and power. I camp (tow a trailer) and hunt from this vehicle. Lots of usable space. Have had no problems.
1998 Trooper
I wasn't goin out looking to buy a Trooper but after my test drive I was hooked. Simply put this is the most reliable vehicle I've owned, and I've owed alot of cars. VERY comfortable to drive especially on long trips and Troopers are a very nice looking vehicle. I'm at over 80,000 miles and I've NEVER had a problem. Until Isuzu does me wrong I'll always own one.
