Used 2022 Hyundai Venue Consumer Reviews
Transmission Failed After 22000 Miles
OK car when it works, good pickup, great on gas. It has a significantly rougher ride than my Mazda, and the seats feel cheap. Also when in cruise control, the engine revs much higher than when controlling the speed manually - like cruising at a steady 100km/h and the transmission stays put with engine revving around 2000 rpm, but turn on cruise control and the revs creep up to between 3k and 4k in a few seconds. The worst problem was that the transmission failed after about 35000 km (22k miles). It was behaving weirdly - lurching and jerking - so it was brought to the dealer who said there was nothing wrong, and we were charged $80 for the privilege of hearing it. The following week my partner was driving home from the next town over and suddenly the transmission failed. She managed to limp it home but it was grinding and slipping the whole way, and didn't want to accelerate past 50km/h (30mi/h). Transmission was replaced under warranty, but I am nervous about using this car for long trips now. I don't know if the cruise control weirdness is related to the transmission failure - perhaps the higher revs put more strain in the transmission? It still does the high rev thing with the new transmission.

Great Zippy Compact SUV
I just got my 2021 Venue in Candy Apple Green. It has a lot of features on it that you would expect to pay more for. Front camera and back camera. Lane Assistant. I am impressed with this SUV.

Nothing to complain about
Bought this after owning a Mercedes E-class for many years. We got the top trim and impressed. Leatherette trimmed seats with a unique design and a well thought out cabin that doesn’t look or feel cheap. You feel like you’re in a more expensive car. The boxy shape is great for headroom, and it’s loaded with features Heated seats etc and great tech, for such a reasonable price. Using sport mode makes the car plenty zippy for everyday and HWY driving, passing etc. We average 31-34 mpg in mixed driving. So far we have had zero issues. The transmission is one of the best of what we tested. So pleased with this mini crossover.

Simply AWESOME!
I had been looking at cars since November 2020 and initially was leaning toward a larger SUV. After looking at many different SUV's and test driving several competitors, I took one look at the Hyundai Venue and immediately knew THIS WAS THE ONE! I chose the Denim model and am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED with it. This car is simply amazing. The technology is incredible, the gas mileage even more so and the style is head turning. The interior is spacious and the ride is nice. The safety features that are in the Venue outdo many luxury vehicles that I've seen. Truly a great vehicle at an incredible price. Go for it, you'll see!

ALMOST perfect
I’ve had my 2021 Venue SE for a little over 2 months (1100 miles) and I love it more than any car I’ve owned in the past. The size and ground clearance are perfect for me living New Orleans which is basically urban driving but with back country roads. The roads are terrible here. I had a Malibu before and would scrape the ground just going in and out of driveways and I’m happy to say that hasn’t happened with the Venue once. It drives great and gets great fuel economy. I have experienced a few problems unfortunately. The infotainment system is kind of terrible. Wireless CarPlay rarely stays connected for the whole drive and it just disconnects and reconnects over and over. Ive done a lot of research on the issue and Hyundai says its an Apple issue. Apple says its a Hyundai issue and no one seems to be working towards a solution. I didnt think that not having a center console or arm rest would bother be but I do kind of miss it now that i dont have it. I think its kind of stupid that it only comes on the higher trims. It seams like a simple thing that they should all have. And i was very surprised to experience leakage from my passenger side door. I came to my car after a day of rain to see a puddle of water in my seat due to a leaking passenger door. Which is unacceptable on a car that is under 6 months old. All that being said, I do like the car for the most part. I just hope that Hyundai’s warranty is as good as they claim it to be and we can get all these tiny issues worked out.

Loving the ride!
We are extremely happy with the 2022 Hyundai Venue. It has so many perks and runs so smoothly. We love the color (white). Purchasing this vehicle is the best decision we could have made in today's market.
Nice but ...
Great on gas, good turn radius, nice display features/options, quiet - only when parked. Decent driver and passenger leg room for average and small size person, both in height and weight. Good trunk space for vehicle it's size. Loud road noise, stiff thin cushioned seats, no comfortable for long distances. Vehicle driven didn't have a center arm rest. Would recommend for city or small town driving. If seats were improved, it'd recommend it for distance driving also. Not sure on price, but would definitely be happy with purchase as a first time vehicle owner.

Fantastic Little SUV
As a fresh out of college first-time car buyer this car was perfect. It's small size makes navigation smooth and parking easy while all the tech makes it feel much more expensive than it was. I was looking specifically for a cheaper SUV styled car and the overall value this car offers made this my first pick by a long shot, and it has lived up to those expectations in the month I've had it.

Sporty
I was a little concerned about purchasing the vehicle due to the lack of power but I'm impressed...put it in sport mode and it took off a lot faster than I ever expected. We purchased the sel with the premium package and with rebates some willing and dealing got a 24000 vehicle for about 17000 with a down payment as well. And btw this is the safest I've ever felt driving with all the safety features especially with the crazy world we live in now. But still be alert at all times
Fancy turtle!
It's hard to get as much value for this price new. The only things I wish were available are leatherish seats, adaptive cruise control, and at least 60 more horses!
