3 door fun
Fun car for secondary roads. Visibility out the rear window is not great. Underpowered on hills/passing but returned 37mpg average.

Complete Disappointment
I've had my Veloster for 4 months now and I've had nothing but issues. The transmission has a design flaw which causes a lag in between 1 and 2. The check engine light kept lighting up like a Christmas tree with only 800 miles on it. The interior, although beautiful, is super squeaky when driving. The stereo will randomly lock on the screensaver and not work for hours at a time. And now my engine is starting to sputter randomly like it's not getting fuel. After driving used cars all my life, this was my first new car and I couldn't be more disappointed. It's had more issues than any used car I've ever owned and it's brand new. The worst part? Hyundai doesn't care.

Nothing but problems
Catilitic converter melts mimicking what happens when a transmission fails. All kinds of computer glitches. Tires are expensive and limited choice of manufactures that make tires that fit. No spare tire. So if you get a flat you are left having to have the car towed. They now sell spare tire kits, but are extremely expensive. Love the astetics of the car and options. But car has a very poor foundation. Keep looking.

big sad surprise
My 2nd review after I drove to LA and back. The milage was not what was advertised, even freeway. The interior is fine with the exception of the headrest. If you are a short person - be cautious. It is designed for tall people - 5'7" and over. But the most disappointing aspect is the power - or lack there of I thought I was breaking the demographics as I am older, but it really is a very very cute little old ladies car. I may be an older lady and there is NO power. Going on an uphill on 101, which isn't much of a hill. I will dread driving to Tahoe or Yoemite . Except for the looks that is A++, this car is a disappointment.
Love, love, love it!
Love the style, handling and comfort. Also, no major problems in the 11 years I have had it!
