My 2007 AWD Sante Fe has just under 40 k miles ..
Lol...yup, Almost 40k miles on it...bought new in 2008. equals roughly 3k per year... That said, ONLY VEHICHLE ever bought ''new'' Live in NE OHIO ,and don't own a garage... And yet still looks new. As every year we get hit by SERIOUS winter storms ,wanted 4 wheel drive....turns out , My S-FE'S ALL-WHEEL DRIVE is better !. Unbelievably better ! 99.9% of the time it's front wheel drive ... But... it senses both when AND HOW MUCH torque needs to be moved to the rear tires too! 10, 20,30, 40,or 50 %..This happens LIGHTNING FAST...then switches back to front wheel drive when your 'unstuck'' . without pushing a button. 14 years of buried in deep snow, it got me out every time. {side note...Almost 2 years ago, bought new tires....the S-FE comes with car tires..but turns out, You can buy tires that fit a F-150 truck.... I bought 4 ,...not those Beefy, looks like could climb over a mountain tires,,. Just deeper tread, all weather tires, And NEVER been stuck since ;) } Between the stability control and the brake assist....it has saved my ass damn near a dozen times in the last 14 years. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh ,the ''OTHER STUFF'' 15 years old, never sat in a garage, yet ZERO BODY RUST! NO IDEA WHY! As it has the smaller V6 engine, more than enough speed . but wouldn't want to haul a trailer behind it for a long haul. Roomy inside... I'm 6'2'',225 lb.s, fits me well. Fold down the back seats .I have brought home many large things. Seems like my post is an ad...but every product has it's flaws... Keep in mind...we do get sub zero temps...with -25 degree wind chills almost yearly. The heater.....not impressive.. During a workday, when below 32 degrees. Gotta warm the car up , takes 10 minutes before it starts to defrost the window. lower temp outside---20 minutes. That said, NEVER is the heat ''HOT'' ...just warm.....just good enough.... And... My Hyundai doesn't like the salt used on our streets to remove snow... Had to replace ALOT of the breaking system....TWICE...because of rusting. 14-15 hundred dollars combined. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And yet.......without a doubt , Buying my Santa Fe back in 2008 is The best purchase I ever made! Still looks great, drives well, digs itself out in heavy snow, stops on a dime during heavy rain , And as have owned it since 2008...It has never let me down.

Fantastic vehicle
I love my Santa Fe! I owned a 2007 Toyota RAV 4 for a month and traded it in for this fantastic vehicle. I don't recommend doing that, though. Lost some money. Lots actually. Toyota more expensive, Santa Fe a better value.Test drove Honda CRV, Saturn Vue, Subaru Forester and Outback. Forget the rest and go right for the Santa Fe. It is built solidly, quiet, great ride. Radio has a great sound. I feel like I'm in a more expensive car. Found headrest uncomfortable, but just turned it around.

Look for something else!!!
I bought this vehicle almost totally based on looks then the problems started i put a new transmission in it at 22,000 KM then i got it towed to Saskatoon cause the speedometer was bouncing up and down and the check engine light came on got it there and they said nothing was wrong then the found that the brain was not working they replaced that then the sunroof started to leak so they replaced that after they did that it leaked worse now they say there is nothing they can do to fix it then i broke down on my way to Edmonton the fuel control throttle went on it and they had it for about a week to fix that i have had nothing but problems i talked to Hyundai Canada and they won't do anything!!
Great crossover for the price
I just bought this a few days ago for my wife after trading my 12 year old Isuzu Trooper in. The Santa Fe feels decidely different than the SUV - it feels much more like a car, and the car chassis build is the clear reason. Its taking me a while to get used to the lower seating compared to the Trooper, reduced powwer and somwwhat limiting rear visibility so far. But those are areas I feel I can get accustomed to - its a differrent vehicle after all. The Santa Fe handles well for its class, feels luxurious for the price on the inside, has modern styling, provides good fuel economy for the class, and is fun to drive around and do regular chores in.
16 months ownership
Bought the vehicle 16 months ago. Have 28K miles on vehicle. It's been as good a vehicle as I have owned. My buddy just bought a Limited, and another buddy bought a Sonata Limited, partly because of my good experience with the brand. Vehicle is quiet, warms up quickly, runs smoothly. Vehicles are expensive in Canada compared to U.S.
