Used 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Consumer Reviews
Needs a little polish
Let me start with the super loud backup beeper that sounds like I'm driving a dump truck when I back out of the driveway every morning and wake up the neighbors. None of my neighbors hybrid SUVs (CRV, Highlander, Lexus 300h, Volvo xc60) do this. (and no, this is not the backup alert that senses objects behind you) The wireless CarPlay is *only* wireless, and likes to attach to another family members phone in the house until I'm out of range and then eventually picks up mine (priority setting doesn't seem to fix this). And finally the Auto Cruise control is pretty good, but I wish when coming to a complete stop, it left a little more room (the 'follow' distance is set to max and is a good distance when moving) Otherwise, I enjoy driving the car - upgraded from a 2011 Santa Fe and appreciate it's size which is at the limit of what will fit my garage.

Great SUV
Perfect blend of comfort and power with lots of cargo space. Loads of features on mid level trim. Would absolutely recommend!

Stay away from this car
I had bought a brand new 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL-Plus Hybrid and this car is the worst car I had ever owned. It has been less than 1 year of owning it and the car been to the dealer multiple times with multiple issues. First the panoramic sunroof looks great but it doesnt stop rattling at all. Took it for service and all they did was put some oil in it, fixed the issue for 2 months and then the noise is right back. Second the car is making clicking and banging noises when turning and driving at low rpm. The dealer replaces parts and now is telling me it needs a new drive shaft which they told me they dont even know when they will be able to do. Last but not least BE AWARE your horn will not work if its less the 32F outside. I was told by the dealer that this is due to it being too cold. I owned multiple cars and never heard of that one. This car by far is the worst car I bought in m life. Buy something more reliable this one sucks but does have a nice design. Cant wait to get it fixed and get out of it. Piece of junk if you ask me. Update: Got this car less then a year ago. At first I loved the car and all the features it offers. Then within 3 months I am living a total nightmare. The car sunroof wont stop rattling and all the service do is put some lubricant and the noise is back within a month. Second issue was the car started making clicking noises when turning. They replaced bunch of parts and the noise always comes back. Took the car to the dealer over 10 times within first 6 months of buying the car. The issue still till today is not resolved. Then came winter and guess what the horn doesn't work when the temperature outside is less then 25F. The dealer told me that it is due to extreme weather. I mean i had other cars and never had this issue. Hyundai doesn't want to help with any of the issues and just trying to be slick and have you sign a settlement with them for $100. I have the car issue since September of 2021 and its now March 2022 and the car just clunks all day while driving it. I mean this is the biggest piece of trash I had ever bought. Been to many Hyundai dealers and their service center have no knowledge of how to fix a car. I am pursuing legal advice and I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK.

Lagoon Blue Santa Fe Ltd Hybrid
It appears to be a great car based on my first 600 miles of driving it. However, some of the technology (there is a lot) is hard to figure out how to use because the Owners Manuals cover sever different versions of this car.

Heavy handling, rattling at low speed and no solut
Model: Luxury - not listed in options. It is a heavy SUV, compared to my Ford Escape 2014. Long lag at every stop, before power kicks in. Started rattling/ vibrating at 5k on odometer, between high rev second gear to low rev third gear and Hyundai cannot find the issue. Very frustrating. Anti-lock brakes prevented me from stopping in a low speed accident, which cost $8k + 3 months to receive the parts. Constantly receiving a front impact warning when going past parked cars or bicycles + brakes for no reason. Super annoting safety features. The only thing I really like is the adaptative cruise control, for when you follow the annoying people who can't keep their speed constant. Also, I find it heavy on gas consumption, even though I'mmostly on EV. Very disappointed. Never again.
