I am quite pleased with my new Hyundai Genesis sedan. It looks good, drives well, has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. The car is great! What was very disappointing - and will likely continue to be so - is the dealer experience. While the car may be world class, the dealers that i visited do not seem to understand that customers purchasing $45K plus car rent going to be satisfied by a a less than robust level of dealer support and experience. If Hyundai wants to compete with MB and BMW and the like, they need to step up there game in a big way. Great car - just hope I never have to go back to the dealer again. UPDATE: I have had the car for 8 months now - still enjoy it as much as I did when it was new. UDATE#2: just past year 2 driving this car - no issues, no problems, no dissapointments

Car is absolutely amazing and a great value. Test drive a Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, and Acura and this is a sure winner. It has way more trunk space, way more interior space and the features are more than the same level luxury brand, for 20,000 less.
Don't need a lux name? This is the lux car for you

After more than four years and 90,000 miles behind the wheel, this car still impresses. The performance, while not being a true performance car, is plenty sporty. Enthusiasts should understand that this car is much bigger and heavier than it appears, and factor this into their buying decision. However, Genesis uses this to add comfort and quiet to the mix. In fact, I bought this because how quiet it was while pushing 90 on my test drive. Gadget fans will drool... even the base "signature" package has significant features that would cost many thousands on luxury German or Japanese cars. I got the "Ultimate" package, which is Hyundai-speak for "throw every piece of tech they could think of." As a comparison, the equivalently-optioned BMW 5-series was $19,000 more than this car. After four years of ownership, I've still had no major repair issues. Genesis has kept the same body style through their 2020 lineup, so the car doesn't look "obsolete." Bottom line, I've been very happy, and no Genny owner I've had a conversation with has ever had an unkind word to say (which says a lot).

I've owned my 2015 Genesis for 15 months and have enjoyed everyday of ownership. I compared this model to the Infinit Q70 (previous car was a 2007 Infiniti M35). Every aspect of this car is great. I went on a 2k trip (twice) and never was tired. While cruising effortless in west TX at over 80 mph, fuel economy averaged between 25 - 30 mpg. Handling is great and virtually no road noise (not even from the tires). Great value for the money and a great deal. The adaptive cruise control and lane guidance is terrific and works great. I continue to be amazed at the level of luxury and abundance of important features for the price paid. Why do the German and Japanese brands charge so much extra for these important safety features? They certainly don't justify the significant premium. I especially like the head's up display and the assortment of indicators that are presented. Great features for a great price. Has more technology than the German options and a better value than Lexus or Infiniti.

When compared to its competion the Genesis is a great sedan and a good value when purchased new. That said it has a high depreciation the first 3 years. If one plans to keep a car for 5 years or more this is the car to buy. The car does everything well and offers the level of luxury and quality of a Lexus (of which I have owned 3) at considerably less cost. I drove this car for 3 1/2 years, 46,000 miles and had to replace only a parking light bulb. If my business had not forced me to buy a SUV I would be still driving this car. I would recommend the purchase of this model Genesis to anyone.
