Test drove the Honda,Toyota,Hyundai, and was not interested in the Chrysler. Ruled out the Sienna immediately. I was leaning towards the Honda before test driving the Hyundai. I was amazed at the build quality and the ride quality compared to the Honda. I have owned the Entourage for two months. Have already driven from Georgia to Chicago. What a treat driving the Entourage. Don't be fooled by Hyundai's past. They are in it to compete as a top of the line competitor. The Entourage is an excellent buy!

I am a previous Honda Oddessey owner for 4 years and really liked my van, however when it came time to trade in I just had to look at the new Hyundai Entourage, after driving it I was really amazed the fit & finish was excellent on power to the honda the refinement of the 3.8-250HP motor with 5 speed tran was smooth and powerful more so than my oddessey, the oddessey still get #1 for handeling but lets get releastic this is a mini-van Not a sports car, ride is far seperior to my oddessey for reliability I think that Hyundai's 10/100,000 WILL KEEP ME AT EASE. I have put 7000 miles on this Entourage and I truly love it, if you are thinking about a mini-van giv Hyundai Entourage a Close look!

Like most looking at this car, I needed a family hauler. Looked at SUV's (actually fell in love with the Mazda CX-9 and the Hyundai Veracruz. Sad thing about both are you carry the family or 'stuff' - but not both. Now I was stuck looking at minivans. Compared the Toy, Honda and the Hyundai and there was only 1 choice. Maybe people feel better spending $40k+ on the same thing from Honda but not me. I like the better warrentee. Build quality is the SAME believe it or not. All the new Hyundai's in the last couple of years have had amazing reliability, rivaling anything from Japan. Spend more if you want to - but all you'll gain is a few more MPG!

A Great Vacation Ride

I rented a 2007 Entourage in Salt Lake City for an 8 day, 1800 mile vacation through Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks. The drive was on mountainous roads in winter conditions. This vehicle has a strong drivetrain with fast acceleration and effortless mountain climbing power. Handling was sporty and the ride very comfortable. Gas mileage was outstanding and amazing averaging about 27 mpg. This included a considerable amount of stop and go driving between scenic turnouts in both parks, and some idling to keep warm while viewing wildlife, not to mention the cold weather conditions and, at times, snow covered roads. Overall, I am very impressed with this vehicle.

Purchased Entourage GLS after having had two Voyagers. The Hyundai is superior. Standard ESC, all the airbags, ABS, warranty are great. Have a 1999 Sonata that lead me to look at the Entourage. The major problem is the HORRIBLE mileage. Currently have 5000 miles after 7 months and cannot get over 12mpg in city/suburban driving. City/hwy is only 15mpg. This is the worst mileage I have ever gotten with any car that I have owned.

Overall, I think the reviews are spot on. I've put about 500 miles on our new Hyundai Entourage SE. With the power sliding doors and other standard features. I don't think it's most beautiful vehicle I've ever seen, but for a mini van, it gets the job done -- nicely! I got a great price for the van and coupled with my $2500 rebate, I got the car for $3000 under invoice not including tax and license.

Our first Korean car, and could not complaint with anything...test drove Quest SE, Odyssey, Siena, Town & Country etc.... and we took home a beautiful Entourage Limited with Ultimate pkg ... could not believe the workmanship - performance of this Van, the 60k bumper to bumper, 100k power train warranty is assuring ! I honest it drive better than the Quest and Siena and about the same with Odyssey (I'm driving an infiniti G35) ...LOVE IT... Go Hyundai!

Traded Odyssey for Entourage

After suffering sticker shock at my Honda dealer when I found out it would cost over 40 grand for a new '07 Odyssey with the features I wanted, I shopped around and fell in love with Hyundai's Entourage Limited. It has more "bells and whistles" practical features than the Odyssey, but after rebate ended up costing $29,300 including the $4000 Luxury Package. The engine and transmission are unbelievably smooth as is the ride, and after 2 months and almost 4000 miles the van's been flawless. I'm averaging about 20 MPG for blended driving, which for a 4400 pound 7 passenger vehicle with a 250 HP V-6 engine isn't unreasonable. This van is gonna give Honda and Toyota a lot of competition!

Bought an Entourage to replace a 1999 Ford Windstar that died on us with only 99,000 miles. Entourage gets about the same gas mileage as our old Ford, but has tons more features for the money, smoother and quieter ride, handles much better too. Broke in the first 1200 miles on winding mountain roads and enjoyed every minute. Was looking at Toyotas but liked the warranty and the lower purchase price. Absolutely no problems to report.

For the mileage I drive mostly highway (80%)and after 3000 miles I averaged 22 MPG. I can only say that if you are seeing 15 MPG as some have stated, there is a serious problem that needs to be looked at. I can't see why there isn't more of them on the road. My dealer took 2 weeks to find one in red and they didn't have any on their lot. My negatives are... No mp3 jack. Brakes are way too sensitive. Hyundai's radios have always been poor. ( I have owned 4 other Hyundais)The reception is even worse with the in the window antenna. Darker carpet color to hide tracked in dirt. Floor mats are not standard. Give me a break.

Probably the best bang-for-your-buck vehicle on the planet, and it looks sharp, too! Paid $25K out the door for an SE trim even with over $1K upside down on the trade. SE trim is worth the extra $$ -- much "nicer" inside and out. I don't know how the rest of these people drive, but gas mileage for me averages between 20 and 23 mpg -- great considering it has the biggest engine in its class. Drives like a dream -- great visibility, power and comfort. Considering a comparably equipped Honda or Toyota was $8K, not to mention their warranties were no match, the decision on this vehicle was an easy one!

HYUNDAI - MADE IN CHINA?

WOW, I was told I had the only Entourage in AMerica with the vibration problems. Usually around 70mph, but also while braking. Since purchasing in June of 06, dealer had vehicle 2 months trying to "fix". They replaced both front wheel hubs and for 60+ days my problem stopped. Cancelled BBB complaint. It has been a nightmare since then. Still have vibrations, but not all the time. The brake rotors have been turned three times, replaced twice along with pads the last time. Hyundai rep replaced on a goodwill basis. Ain't he nice? Hyundai is finally making me an offer to replace the vehicle completely. Of course I have to pay for the miles I put on, and Hyundai thinks that is fair.

You have to floor it to pull out in a yield situation, not good in rush hour traffic. Parking brake doesn't work properly. I had it repaired 4 times, still makes noise. The steering wheel doesn't fit the seat postion. I need the seat back for my long legs but the steering wheel doesn't pull out to meet my arm position I'm comfortable with. No automatic lock, in this day and age, this is a must. I have a note to remind me to lock doors. This is my 4th minivan, my other used vans had this feature.

We have had nothing but problems from our 2007 entourage. It has been in the shop for 26 business days (m-f only) and 5 times (8000 mi). We have the same knocking noise others have mentioned, which it has gone up in smoke for (a/c burned out) and stranded us on the interstate w/ my 4 mo old. We have rattles/creaks etc. Poor gas mileage. The a/c is knocking again and we are claiming lemon law. Just yesterday after picking it up from being at the dealer 2 weeks, the airbag light came on. We were told they couldn't get it in until Friday (it is wed) but not to drive it b/c we won't have airbags in the event of a crash (no rentals avail). And Hyundai warranty does not guarantee a rental.

We have the minivan for 8 months now withou even a minor problem. Everything was much better than we expected. We tried all the well know minivan such as Toyota, Honda and Chrysler before we brought the Hyundai, but none of them compare well with the Hyundai in the same price range. Everything were so well designed, they may be standard in many minivan now, but Hyundai did it well too.

For the first year it was great! Soon after the automatic doors would pop open a few seconds after they were closed. Then one day it would not start. It has power but will not crank. It has been in the shop 5 times for not starting and it always starts with the doors acting funny. I also have the squeaks and rattles and the engine has an odd sound when the air is running. The gas mileage is not as great as claimed. I would not care about those things if I just had a vehicle I can get in and know it will not leave me stranded waiting on a tow truck and wasting an entire day. I have started the lemon law process. I hope Hyundai does the right thing and gives me the van I thought I was purchasing.

After a history of Saturns, it was time for a minivan. Honda was out of our price range. Grand Caravan seemed cheap inside. We scored after finding this used and the dealer thought it was a base model (& priced as such!)! Great power, 17 mpg seems typical, SO roomy, long warranty, lots of features, awesome safety rating, and everyone thinks it's a Honda at first glance! We've owned it for 5 months and 6K miles. We did have a dead battery and they replaced it with no problems. Very happy with our local dealership. After being a Saturn-only family for 10 years, our newly adopted Hyundai fits in just fine!

My boyfriend bought the van over a year ago for him and his kids. He was sold on the "safety feature" that said that any obstruction would automatically open the side door. Since then we have constantly had problems with the power doors-- if you are on any type of incline, the power doors have a great chance of not closing as well as sliding forward on their own. His 9 year old son has actually had his hand crushed in the doors (that DID NOT automatically open) when he was reaching to grab his seat belt to buckle in as the door closed. Both of his children are now terrified of the closing doors and warn their friends to not touch the doors. I am almost 30 and even I get nervous about it.

I have owned other Hyundai products and have loved them. The 2007 Entourage van has been a nightmare. It has stalled on us several times and has had various electrical problems. Trim pcs. and hardware in general are falling off and are of poor quality. Gas mileage is terrible (13 in city and just under 20 on hwy). Ouch!!! I would strongly recommend not buying the 2007 model and get the 2008 or 2009 as I would hope Hyundai has worked out all the bad bugs from the 2007 year. Avoid at all cost the 2007! Very disappointing experience to date.

DO NOT PURCHASE (2007 model) Problems to date 1) Power steering gasket blew (under 2 yrs old) 2) Reversing sensors are unreliable and do not work consistently.. Hyundai can not reproduce and therefore are not willing to replace under warranty (we have even sent a video of the problem to them). 3) Unable to start van.. power & battery OK.. had it towed to dealer... next day van started ok. 4) Brake calipers under sized for weight of van.. rotors wearing down fast and warping under heat. 5) Customer service a disgrace. If anybody else in Western canada has these problems with Hyundai please drop me a note.

I have owned my Entourage SE for approximately one year and 14,000 miles. The squeaks, rattles, and other pronounced noises are very apparent, especially in the cooler weather. Caution! In your Warranty manual, you will find a section where as these obnoxious noises will not be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I feel that new owners are not waiting long enough before writing a review. I made this critical mistake. I should have spent a bit more money for the Honda Odyssey.

I bought this van 2.5 years ago for $1000 with 130,000 miles. Just hit 190,000. It has been a fabulous van!! Sure I have put a few $$ in it (around 2000), 2 sets of tires, AC condenser, lower control arms, sway bar links and bushing. It's call keeping up with maintenance. I do have other vehicles to drive (Mercedes AMG, Super Duty Ford, but this is my go to auto. So versatile and indestructible, (4th Hyundai, all been good to me). If you negative Nancy's want to keep giving me your Hyundai's, I will keep buying them.

I’ve never been a big van advocate but the size of our family demanded we have one. We bought our 2007 entourage brand new and now it has over 300,000 Km’s on it. We are now looking for a replacement vehicle due to a recent soft accident that insurance won’t cover due to its age and mileage. Otherwise we would have continued with it until it died. The van was excellent in highway driving - comfort, the ride, passing power capabilities, and not bad on highway gas consumption. The van had a lot of very well thought out extras or accessories that a family could use, DVD player for viewing in the 2nd and 3rd row, headphones, drivers rear mirror to see what was going on, variable heated seats, power rear hatch, rear air conditioning to 3rd seats, etc. many of the features would be considered almost standard today but Hyundai was ahead of the curve back then. Only real issues encountered today are sometimes finicky power sliding doors, oil burning, and getting the middle seats out to use the van for hauling furniture or building supplies. Big cargo / storage area available when needed. Great people mover, great ride and power to giddy up and go when needed. I’m hoping the Palisade will be that much better - at least providing the comfort, highway handling, and acceleration capabilities.

We paid for the extended warranty and glad that we did! Brakes started squealing within the first six months, tires did not last as long as they should have, battery died after about 50000 miles. They have had to change the air compressor, the fuel sensor, and a few other parts. We have had to get it towed twice.
