Reliable boredom
If you're looking for a ride that does everything well but nothing great, this is your car. I've had it for 4 years with no issues whatsoever, yet I'm ready to part with it, not because I don't think I can't run it for another 60k miles but because it has bored me into submission. Middle of the road from every aspect. It's vanilla ice cream, which lots of people like, I just prefer a little Chocolate Therapy even at the risk of occasional problems. So, if you're looking for a daily commuter, this is an excellent choice as long as you look for inspiration elsewhere.

Don't believe the gas mileage hype
Recently purchased a 2013 Elantra Limited under the premise that I would be getting a fuel efficient vehicle for a decent price. I traded a 2012 Camaro to make this deal as I travel 65 miles a day to work and back in hybrid traffic. I drive pretty conservatively and live in Florida which is predominately flat. With the first 1,000 miles down, I am getting 25.4 MPG which is a far cry from the 28C-38H-32Hybrid they are so fond of telling you about. My Camaro was getting 20.6 hybrid, so I gained far less car with no real savings. The Elantra is a great car for what it is, but if you are seeking this vehicle solely for gas mileage, don't make the mistake. You won't see the stated mileage.
Terrible fuel mileage and poor supension
Bought this cars cause it was showing 58 mpg when I bought it on the sticker in the window I get 28 mpg but I get a credit car from Hyundai for them lying about the mileage works to to fill my tank 2 times a year and I figure I'm using about 10-12 tanks extra a year. If I have 2 passengers in the back seat my wheels rub on the plastic cover in the wheels wells every dip in the highway I consider this to be a safety issue took a picture of it to the dealership and was told they put 2 people in the back of the car on the show room and it did the same thing so there's nothing they can do. I also paid 1500 for interior warranty and have a stain that they won't cover only cover threads popping
