A good truck-like vehicle

A truck for Honda owners. I sold my F150 because I didn’t need a big full-size truck, and got the Honda a few months later. The Honda rides well and the seats are very comfortable even for long rides. I’ve spent 8 or 9 hours in the truck at a stretch on long drives without any complaints. Fuel economy is good and the cabin is quiet at 75-80. Back seat is roomy and seats flip up for convenience. Yes, the infotainment interface is bad. Navigation system is pretty good and the radio sounds fine. Apple CarPlay is good. But the interface is bad. Everything is touchscreen and requires multiple screens and inputs. But that’s the worst thing about the vehicle and I still prefer the Honda to the competition. Update: continues to work well after 15 months. Back doors don’t open wide enough but that is fixed fairly easily. Tailgate is a good design and I open it vertically and horizontally about 50% of the time. The inability to select a gear is an annoyance these days. My other vehicles have paddle shifters these days. Biggest complaint is that infotainment interface.

I went for the RTL-E trim as the it had all the options I was looking for. So far, this truck has delivered a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride, yet it still delivers the hauling and utility capacity I was looking for. Great value compared to other same class mid-size pickups.

First let me say I've owned many, many new vehicles. Average one every two-three years. I always investigate thourghly before buying. I just bought this Ridgeline basically to try something different, even though many years ago I had other trucks. I traded my 2016 Nissan Murano which I might say is a awesome SUV & which I highly recommend. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to go back to another one but for now I'm happy with the Ridgeline. Its an excellent midsize truck which I would definitely recommend. I think if one was to try the other midsize trucks they will probably buy a Ridgeline. The Elite which I bought has all the bells & whistles of any high end SUV...very unusual for a truck & you get many more features that aren't even offered by the competition. It doesn't look much like a traditional truck but thats why I like it...it is much more modern looking, It doesn't take up the whole garage & does everything 90% of truck owners really need. As far as ride, handling, quietness, performance, roominess...well it is the top of the class...just as reviews have said. Drive one if you are looking for a practical midsize pickup & I'd bet you would buy. As a note I put a access bed cover on, Ridgeline running boards, illuminated sill plates, & tinted windows on mine. I also had a 2" leveling kit put on the front which makes the stance better looking (level) Mine is pearl white with beige interior. I'm looking into putting one size bigger tires & nicer wheels. Bigger tires only to better fill the wheel wells since I put a 2 inch lift in front as I mentioned earlier. Way it is now is just fine but I like something just a bit different then others.

After owning the new Tacoma (which was an absolute waste of money), an F150, Ram 1500 and Nissan Frontier, this Ridgeline is the most comfortable truck I have owned. It has great power, excellent fuel mileage and while it is not an off roader, I don't use my trucks for that anyway. The bed is much larger and more user friendly than the Tacoma and Frontier. The transmission is smooth unlike the terrible transmission in the Tacoma and Ram 1500. The interior is quiet and the stereo system is wonderful. I would prefer a more beefier look to the Ridgeline but all the pluses definitely outweigh this one negative. I am completely satisfied with my Ridgeline. I am disappointed in how much it can haul. After putting 10 bags of mulch in the bed, it looked like the rear end was almost dragging. Guess it is not made for the heavy workload. I have since traded in this truck for a real truck that can do real truck things.

Did not need a full size truck anymore and will not go back. I absolutely love this Ridgeline.
