2024 Honda HR-V Consumer Reviews

The more we drive it, the more we like it
I purchased a new 2024 Honda HR-V in December 2023 and have to say, the more my spouse and I drive it, the more we like it. If you’re looking for a vehicle with a touch- screen to control everything, this is not the car for you. (I had one of those previously in a 2022 Subaru Outback and didn’t care for that. I prefer knobs I can turn and buttons I can push without taking my eyes off the road.) I had previously owned a 2006 HR-V Sport so I was familiar with both the brand and the model but wanted something a little nicer. I selected the AWD EX-L trim this time and am really pleased with it. The car has a nice touch screen for the phone and audio controls and the car also has nicely placed steering wheel controls for these as well. The entire dash area has a nice minimalist feel to it with knobs and buttons for climate controls. These are convenient and easy to learn and operate without having to take your eyes off the road. The heated front seats in this trim are more padded and comfortable. The car is equipped with a sunroof and has a generous cargo area. We are pleased with the gas mileage and on a recent trip we were getting 37 mpg on the highway. Performance in a recent snow event was good. The only options that I wish this vehicle had would be an electronic liftgate and increased app-connected features but these weren’t things we can’t live without. For safety this trim comes equipped with lane monitoring that alerts you but isn’t annoying. It also has alerts for getting too close to objects as well as lighted mirror alerts for vehicles in your blind spot. We did a lot of research before our purchase - Edmunds reviews, Carfax, NHTSA and IIHS so we knew what we were looking at and looking for. We wanted a dependable vehicle that was comfortable to drive and ride in with convenience and safety features at our fingertips without being distracting and we think our HR-V has fit the bill nicely.

Park bench front seats
Nice car for the price, the seats feel like a slab of wood.

Great value
HRV Sport is the best value for the money. The engine is perfect for the size of this SUV a good combination of horsepower and fuel economy. The room in this vehicle is amazing I am 6' 1" and leg and hip room are excellent in the front and back the storage in the back will hold four golf bags with the back seats up put them down and who knows what you can fit in there. Urban Pearl gray is the color to go with it sets off the black accents perfectly.

Cannot beat a Honda
Overall, the price point of 28k for the sport model with a lot of standard features I didn’t get with the Kia Sorento is affordable. This car is so quite and it isn’t a hybrid. I bought the extended warranty for $3200. I feel it is a reliable car and trust the dealership to maintenance it, unlike my experience with Kia and Subaru. I set out to but a CR-V and the HR-V had more options for the price point. It is a little smaller than the CR-V and it aligns with simplifying life and saving on gas!

Owwww!!!
The driver’s seat is so uncomfortable I want to get rid of the whole car. I have no idea how it drives because I can’t think about anything but the pain I’m in. I’ve spent a small fortune on various cushions, to no avail. I’m so angry I can’t stand it. I’ve never owned a new car and now I’m stuck with this garbage. We leased the 2019 with no problem. I never felt uncomfortable, but the narrowness of the front seat wasn’t great. But 2024 seat is different. It’s literally painful. The worst.
