Great car and price.
Test drove the 2024 Honda Civic hatchback sport touring and loved the look both interior and exterior and got a great price on it. Really pleased with the purchase overall.

Would be hard to make it better.
Just bought a 2024 lx hatchback. I love this car! I could not imagine how well this car was made. It handles like a dream, and is rather sporty. It sips fuel and provides endless fun while hitting the back roads. If you want to buy a car that is fun to drive, safe and reliable look no further.

Last NA Manual Honda
I bought this car because it's a naturally aspirated, manual transmission Honda. I really like the engine and transmission in this car and it's very enjoyable to drive overall, but the peace of mind knowing it's a proven powertrain that will last a long time with few headaches is the icing on the cake. Boost blue is also a stunning color. After crossing the 3000 mile mark, I have just a few complaints. This car's appearance is utterly ridiculous and needlessly boy-racer. I almost didn't buy the car because Honda locks you into the Sport trim to get the 6 speed transmission, ugh. The 18 inch wheels are completely uncalled for. The tires are insanely loud and this is my primary complaint with the vehicle. This car is louder on the interior than a 3rd gen Honda Fit. This is the loudest car I've ever been in, and it's not much quieter than the tractor trailer I drove. I will be switching to 15 inch HCH wheels and 205/65/R16 rubber soon and hopefully that alleviates the noise. The steering wheel feels nice at first, but on a long road trip, the 8 and 4 hand position on the wheel will absolutely wreck my right thumb. The cross section of the steering wheel is not circular, it's oval, and wider than it is tall. This results in extreme difficulty holding the wheel comfortably at 8 and 4, and since it's a 3 spoke (under very close inspection, the bottom spoke is split, but it's functionally still a 3 spoke), 6 is off the table. The 9 & 3 and 10 & 2 positions are good though. My 1994 Honda Accord steering wheel felt just as nice, but was way, way more comfortable on long road trips. Really wish that car didn't rust out. The steering ratio is also absurdly quick. There is no reason for the wheel to be this quick. Only 2 turns lock-to-lock is truly excessive. I was told this was for evasive maneuvers, but I drove a tractor trailer for 5 years that probably had twice the steering ratio and over 4 turns lock-to-lock and I never had an issue making evasive maneuvers in that. None of this speaks of the turning radius, which is wider than the 3rd gen Honda Odyssey. I don't know if that praises the Odyssey, or insults this car, but I will let you dwell on that. It's usable, but could be better. LX and EX models are much more in line with expectations. One of my favorite features of the car is the 6 speed transmission, and I like almost everything about it, but if I could change the gear ratios, I would. I will start by saying 1st, 4th, and 5th are perfect. 2nd and 3rd are way too tall though. I would prefer to keep 2nd and 3rd shorter to stay in the power band longer and would help with making smoother and quicker shifts too. 6th is too short and barely any different than 5th, just a few hundred rpm. 6th puts you at 2300 rpm at 60mph, and 2700@70. (which is exactly where my 1994 Honda Accord was) Would prefer to be at 2000@60 and 2300@70. for reference, 5th is 2700@60 and 3200@70. That was thing I really liked about my 1994 Accord, was the last 2 gears were well differentiated. I end up skipping 4th and going straight to 6th a lot of the time and doing that pretty much makes the car drive exactly like the 30 year old Accord I replaced. I'm getting 40-43 mpg on the Highway depending on speed (65-75 mph). I live at high altitude so the air is thinner. I'm expecting it to drop to low 30s at sea level under same conditions. Some other complaints are, uh, unavoidable due to safety and emissions regulations. The auto stop-start is very annoying. One time thus far, I parked the car, the stop start kicked in, killing the engine, then I clutch in, shifted to reverse, clutch out in quick succession like I always did in my 1994 Accord, except clutching in causes the engine to start, so I abruptly stalled the car and jolted backwards almost a foot. After that, I am now in the habit of turning it off immediately after starting the car, and TBH I have some PTSD symptoms now every time I park the car. On a similar vein, I really dislike that the lane departure warning cannot be turned off completely. I have the noise turned off, but the wheel still vibrates like mad anytime you dodge a pothole, or roadkill, or need to ride the line to give space to emergency vehicles. The radar cruise is also not my favorite. I feel like it uses the brakes too liberally and wish it had the ability to plan ahead and rely more on pure engine braking like I can. You can switch to traditional cruise control though by holding the distance button though. The nannies and such just make this car way more expensive than it really needs to be, but that's just not really avoidable. I have had some issues with water leaking into the back via the hatch. I believe one or possibly 2 of the seals are not doing their job and allowing rain water to leak into the cargo area. I park the car in a garage, but after driving through a torrential thunderstorm, there is always wetness back there. So in review, I mostly like the car, but as with all vehicles there are compromises to be made, and I do believe this car does more right than wrong. As long as I can get some quieter tires on there, I believe I will be keeping this car 30 years like the Accord I replaced (disclaimer: I was not the original owner of the car, and it was from Virginia. I had the Accord for just 3 years). Or maybe longer! So far, if I could do this again, I think I might have forgone the 6 speed in favor of the LX trim (aegan blue looks good too), but I think what I actually wanted was a 1st gen Acura ILX. I'm just happy I got the last of the NA manual Hondas!
