Used 2006 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
X-B
The new 06' model is simply slick and look much more dynamic than the last model.
Overated Honda Quality
The car is basically a good car. It is the quality and dealer experience that ruins it. I bought it with 6 miles on the odo and it died on me when I was driving it,no power, nothing.A few mins. later it would restart. It was in for repair twice in the first 2 weeks. It was a bad engine computer like I told them to check the first time. But I'm not a "mechanic", so what do I know? Now the paint on the bottom window trim is curling back and I have a bulge in the A pillar airbag cover/trim piece. Also I have an electrical problem that they say is "normal" the headlights dim and the idle gets rough and the hvac fan surges. I say bad alternator, they say it just cant keep up and that its normal.

Excellent Car - Comprehensive Review
Note: I have owned this car for several months, though my father owned it since March of 2005. The 2006 Honda Accord is a pleasure to drive. It's pickup is quite responsive and powerful, its 244 HP or so is perfect for this car. I also get good mileage, about 22-23 MPG average. The interior is roomy, the seats have a good balance between cushion and support, and the leather has held up well. The ride is average, but controlled. As far as handling is concerned, it has a light feel to it and takes the curbs pretty well, though its not a German car. I will also comment that the speakers are superior to that of any luxury car I've been in, including the BMW 5 series, Acura TL, and Lincoln MKS.
disappointed
Cute car, fun to drive though I recommend the manual transmission if you are looking for fun. Really disappointed with the gas mileage achieved though. I am told its due to the ethanol in gas now. Only getting on average 25mpg highway when its rated up to 31 and get about 23 around town.
Another Winner!
This is our fourth Honda Accord in fifteen years and each one is better than the previous. It's quite incredible that Honda offers this package for so much less than an LX where there is only minimal differences. Ride, handling and especially acceleration are exceptional for a four cylinder. Gas mileage on the first tank was 33mpg - 70% highway. Price was $100 over cost with some extras thrown in (mudguards, pinstripe). Although I find Accords generally boring, this one is less so than previous years. It's still a generic car, just one that will never break (we average 150,000 miles per vehicle with no major repairs - ever). You really can't go wrong with this car and package.
