The Beast Is Awesome

This vehicle is perfect for our needs. We love its features for our family and it drives nicely - much better than the prior model revision (prior to 2021). The SUV is large and that is why we bought it; it could get better gas mileage, but that is the trade-off for space.

No max towing package

Just got a 2023 Yukon XL Denali 3.0 Duramax , we were told it had the max trailering package , but there’s not even a trailer brake , also in tow mode it says engine brake but that doesn’t even work . We paid a lot of money for this rig and we have to buy a aftermarket trailer brake etc . Not sure if it will overheat yet but we are thinking about getting rid of this junk it only has 1200 km on it . Any info on this max trailering package that we were charged for on the sticker price .

Not user friendly

I swore off GM products after Obama violated bankruptcy laws and shareholder rights during the financial crisis of 2008-09. I rented a denali from hertz recently and from the moment I turned the car on I was frustrated. Drive and Reverse gears are pull levers. Stupid. The parking assist and crash sensors vibrate the drivers seat startling the crap out of the driver. The radio dial to change stations has a nagging delay. Folding down the third row seat is just a touch of a button BUT ONLY AFTER YOU HAVR TO UNLATCH A SEAT BELT WITH THE CUMBERSOME VALET KEY THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO EXTRACT. I would NEVER pay 40,000 for this vehicle much less 80k or more. This is typical GM JUNK

Perfect Road SUV

SuperCruiser, 12/31/2022
2023 GMC Yukon Denali 4dr SUV (6.2L 8cyl 10A)

My wife, my dog Tutz and I like to travel. We’ve owned two other SUVs but have found that they don’t have enough room without feeling cramped. The 2023 Yukon Denali is the perfect size for traveling. We purchased the Denali with the Reserve Package, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, SuperCruise, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, Panoramic sun roof, Rear Entertainment Center and other goodies. Of all the options available my favorite is the SuperCruise. I was lucky enough to find the Denali at a local dealership. Because the Denali is in such high demand the wait time for ordering and actually having one built is months. I was fortunate to find a Sterling Metallic loaded and not sold. It was built the next week and delivered three weeks later. All of that to say that if I’d ordered the Denali I would not have ordered the SuperCruise or the Rear Entertainment Center. The reason I wouldn’t have ordered the SuperCruise is because I’m old and set in my ways. Too me the idea that an SUV can steer itself is crazy. I’m mistaken. SuperCruise is GREAT! I’ve got carpel tunnel syndrome, which makes it difficult to keep my hands in the driving position for a long period of time. The SuperCruise allows me to take my hands off the wheel and relax. Crazy good technology. I would make sure that if you order a Denali make sure SuperCruise is included. My second favorite option is the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. I live in Jackson, Mississippi. As you may have heard we’ve had issues with our water supply. The recent cold weather didn’t help. We’ve got terrible streets where the busted pipes have been repaired. The roads are probably some of the worst in the country. The Denali ride has been far superior to any other car I’ve owned. Smooth with no “head shake”. I’m not happy with the $1995 Rear Entertainment System. It’s not intuitive and limited in what it can do. If ordering a Denali I would skip this option and purchase instead a few inexpensive tablets for the kids to use. Overall I absolutely love my Denali. It has to be one of the best if not the best SUV available.
