Great Value
I am on my 3rd electric (albeit this is first plug-in hybrid). What got me here were the incentives Ford is giving on the lease. I could not see paying 4K more for a stripped down Leaf or 18K more for the Tesla 3. I prefer full electric and the Bolt at 258 range was fun to drive and got me everywhere I needed. This car is fully loaded, even with the GM rebates it was still 10K over this price. I like the adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, safety features, heated steering wheel, front seats 14 way adjustment heat/cool feature, comfortable ride and the ability to go electric only. Additionally, the programmable seats are great and the handling is good. On the negatives, for such a big car (wider, longer than our Subaru Outback), it does not use the space well. Trunk is the obvious complaint. The doors feels very 'cheap' or tin-like when you close them, a minor complaint but definitely shows that this is a fully loaded inexpensive car vs a true luxury car.. I could not pass up a fully loaded everything for the price. When my daughter goes off to college, I will feel very secure in handing her these keys. I really wish it was full electric, but I will be able to leverage the full electric to commute to/from work Update: I am getting 130 MPG (not including charging costs), which is more than I was hoping for. I drive in Electric only mode until the batteries are depleted then it seamlessly moves to hybrid mode. In summertime in San Francisco Bay Area we get about 29-35 miles on a charge. If you drive aggressively you will not see this range. If you make it a game(the app scores your braking & driving), then you will see this range. Still feel good about this purchase - owned 6 months.. Update at 1year: mileage is 117mpg due to increased usage and my daughter’s swim pool at the end of the range causing more gas usage. Charge suffers in winter as expected, but the drop is larger than I expected. Winter charge range is 21-25 miles. Interior is holding up well, tin sounding doors and small trunk are really my only complaints. Suit speed for wipers is ok not great, heated steering wheel rocks!

Great Car and Fuel Mileage
I bought this after having the opportunity to drive just the Hybrid version. I was impressed with the mileage of those so took an Energi for an extended test drive. I am not a fan of pure electric but this car gives you the best of both worlds, especially if City driving is part of daily driving. If within the 26 mile range of pure electric you won't use gasoline, even if you run out of pure electric the gas/electric still gets great mileage. The Titanium we bought has everything we would ever need as options. We replaced our low mileage Chevrolet Cruze, (which got 30-40 mpg), with this 2019 Fusion Energi. So far getting close to 60 mpg, which includes a lot of highway mileage along with in-town driving. Ride is very nice and electronics are easy to use and intuitive. Comfort level is very high and one of the best of vehicles we have owned. It is too bad Ford is doing away with the Fusion after 2020, I think it is a big mistake.

A great American vehicle.
I have owned many cars in the 50 years of driving. From large Oldsmobiles, two Volvo's, two VW bugs, a 63 Ford van and 2000 Ford Tauras, a number of Chevy's and a Chrysler 300. I have a 2001 Dodge Durango that I will never part with. I also drive a 2012 Prius to and from work everyday, which I absolutely love. The Ford Fusion Energi however feels like an American Detroit Steel vehicle and for that, it is home. I have also rented many cars in my traveling career. When you are in an American car, you know it. The feel, the ride and knowing it's made in America and one of the best we have to offer is priceless. The ride is nothing short of comfortable and safe. It has gurth. It's lines are a work of art. A drive on the expressway is calming and reassuring. The interior is that of a luxury vehicle. I don't need any more power than it has. No foreign car has the same ride as an American Car. My experiece has always been "you know your not driving an American car" and this is why. This vehicle offers it all. The only option is the sun-roof, which we purchased and happy we did. It is comfortable, well made, quality material with the option of being all electric. For the loaded options and the price, there was no comparison. Buy Amercan. I have read all the critic's reviews and the saying "everone's a critic" comes to mind. This is a great American car and one everybody should check out before buying something else. If you are looking for a well built, all the safety options available and beautifully designed timeless vehicle, this is it.
1000+ miles and I only used 1/4 of a tank
I love my 2019 Ford Fusion Energi! It is the perfect car for commuting. I work 5 miles from my office and travel around a 50,000k population city, and rarely put gas in it. I found I can get over 1000+ miles and I only use only 1/4 of a tank. The only time I put gas in it is when I take a road trip and I still get around 40mpg on the highway using the hybrid engine

Avoid Ford Electric Vehicles!
I bought a 2019 Fusion Energi brand new at the end of 2018. It was great for the first three years or so. It’s comfortable, rides nicely, but has very little power. In my fourth year, the car has gone downhill very quickly. The battery life is terrible now - I am lucky if I get 5 miles out of my battery. Also, some control module is failing, causing the car to experience a very slow breakdown that the dealer couldn’t diagnose. One day, suddenly, it produced a wrench light. I took it in and they “reprogrammed” the car, which seemed to fix the issue for two weeks. I asked them to look deeper as I suspected there was a hardware failure - I was not convinced it was a software problem, and I was right. Over the next month, my car would produce the wrench light then reset itself without registering any codes in the computer. I took it back to the dealer several times during this period and they kept saying they couldn’t do anything until a code was produced. So much for them doing their sue diligence. Anyway, their advice was for me to keep driving the car. It finally produced the check engine light one day. So now they’re making a warranty repair to some control module. Either way, at 4 years and 60k miles, I should have better battery life and a more reliable car. Ford will do their best to shake you and ghost you, and I really hate I had to be so persistent to get my car fixed. This was a horrible experience. It’s highly doubtful I’d buy another electric car from Ford, or pursue service at a Ford dealer. Had this not happened, this could have been a four-star review. Now, I can’t get rid of this car fast enough. Don’t buy a used one. Furthermore, I’d advise any customer to be cautious about buying any electric vehicle from Ford.
