Used 2005 Ford Freestyle Consumer Reviews
Out of the SUV!
This is really a good car. It is versatile for the family. We sold our Toyota Sequoia and Toyota RAV4 to use one car for around town and on trips. The Freestyle fits the bill. The price is fair too!
Overall very good but...
I purchased my Freestyle AWD Limited in January and have 8K on it. I love the interior layout and overall design. But, it is definitely an American car. You can see the fit/finish on the interior is not quite as polished as a Japanese vehicle. Already a piece on the corner of the window has popped out of place. Plus the heated seats only stay on for 10 minutes at a time. I am still happy with the vehicle though but I think they can improve upon it. The CVT takes a while to get used to, the cruise control has a difficult time keeping an even speed on hills and the engine kicks on very high RPM going uphill if you try to maintain speed.

Freestyle Rocks!
I LOVE my Freestyle and I was a Chevy girl. It's built on a car platform with SUV roominess without the SUV gas guzzling. I think everyone should at least test drive a Freestyle no matter what you are shopping for. I certainly wasn't looking for a vehicle in the wagon category! I put loads of miles on my car and wanted room and comfort with gas mileage to boot and I got it all.
Got it the other day...
Just got a Ford Freestyle, SEL, it's niiice! :) Superb size/capacity, pretty good on gas, especially hwy, comfort and style, LOTS of "technological doo-dads." Well worth it to get the extras, especially with the family deal Ford is running. Also they give $1000 extra off; a $30,000 dollar vehicle for a $23k or so price :) Very, very happy.
Great buy-Good Ideas
I like to haul several passengers but was tired of pouring $50 bills into the gas tank of my Eddie Bauer Expedition. Checked this and most other crossovers out. Decided to try the Freestyle and have no regrets. It is comfortable, sporty, and has easy access to back seats. It is truly fun to drive. There is little or no road noise. Gas mileage is short of the 27 estimated on the sticker but big improvement from the Expedition. The seating flexibility is unbelievably simple to use. Plenty of room for bulky items. I would highly recommend it!
