Used 2005 Ford Freestyle Consumer Reviews
I love my Freestyle!
I didn't even know the Freestyle existed until I went out looking for something different. Boy did I find it! I just can't buy the same thing that everybody else has!
FORD FREESTYLE SEL FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
If you're looking for interior space without having to take the seats out, this is the car. Very comfortable, folding front seat is a plus. I'm getting 22.3 mpg average. The CVT trans gets a little getting use to. The "coasting" after you attain your speed is different in that you don't have to keep your foot on the gas to maintain your speed. Can go over the speed limit quite easily. Good car!

Sensible 7-Passenger Solution
My wife and I kept an eye out for a Freestyle for quite some time and finally found a great deal. The engine is well laid out (designed by Porsche and acquired by Ford-Cosworth). The AWD is taken from Volvos. The continuously-variable transmission (CVT) works remarkably well. Safety features are many, including ABS, traction control, and frontal and side- curtain airbags. The flat-folding seats, including the front passenger's, are extremely convenient. So far it's been reliable. Mileage has varied from 13-17 in the city to 24-26 on the highway while carrying five passengers. We can't wait for the summer!
Better than my 2003 WIndstar
This car is great. I have an '02 Explorer with 94,000 miles and I hope this will be just as good. 25 miles on the highway, only 15 in town. Transmission is straight out of a luxury car. It is very smooth. This is a car to be proud of. Why is Ford not advertising this model. People would buy this if they knew about it.
Great Vehicle
What a joy to drive. Purchased the vehicle and then took an extended trip to Florida. Drove well and was comfortable. Storage space with the fold down seating was great!
