Used 2005 Ford Freestyle Consumer Reviews
Inside Needs Help, Rest Beautiful
This is really a great automobile! If Ford would do a little domestic change on the inside it could stand up to anybodys car/SUV! Drive, turning radius, comfort, etc. is wonderful. It is fun to drive. I would highly recommend the car, but would tell Ford to fix the plastic inside. This is A WINNER with a few changes.
Enjoyable
I have driven a Ford Explorer for several years and had a Ford Windstar as the family wagon for several years also. With 3 children, one still in a car seat, the Freestyle has plenty of room. We have as much room in it for seating as the Windstar van. Drives so much better than the van. Fuel economy has been a nice surprise. Average 22.5 or so overall, but gets around 27 to 28 on open highway at 65-70 mph. Professional reviewers thought this vehicle lacks power. Although it is not a Mustang or other sports car, it accelerates very well and moves quite briskly. I have had the Explorer V-6 in past models and found it to be quite a dog. Kids love the DVD system.

I LOVE my Freestyle
The Freestyle is a fun to drive, classy looking, crossover that boggles people's minds. I find the acceleration more than adequate for my needs. The fuel mileage is pretty good for an AWD vehicle with traction control. The vehicle handles well, the braking is superb, and the ride is awesome even when fully loaded. Six people have ridden in this vehicle and were amazed by the comfort, and really couldn't get over the stadium type seating. To think that I didn't even consider this vehicle when I started looking for a new vehicle, I feel that for the cost of this vehicle, I just might have purchased the best vehicle I've ever owned. This little gem provides a lot of bang for the buck!
8000 miles down
After 8000 miles in 3 months, I continue to be truly pleased with my Ford Freestyle. Gas mileage has been very good (20 mpg with very heavy stop/go traffic); comfort has been great in all seats on long trips; and absolutely no problems/defects/issues experienced to date.
I love my Freestyle!
I didn't even know the Freestyle existed until I went out looking for something different. Boy did I find it! I just can't buy the same thing that everybody else has!
