Freestyle "Freedom"

The performance is outstanding. I had three previous Windstars, and the Freestyle exceeds them in comfort, economy, ease of handling, and price. The CVT is an outstanding transmission, it is quick off the line, and really performs. Very comfortable seating, and tracking is effortless while on long trips.

Love the Freestyle!

We picked out Freestyle Limited AWD up last Saturday. We were coming off a lease of a Ford Explorer, which I absolutely hated, and was not even considering getting another Ford. I test drove numerous other cars; Highlander, Pilot, new Subara Tribeca. etc. and was not sure what to get. I then received a direct mail offer for a discount on the Freestyle, and there were other moms at my kid's school who had recently gotten one and loved it. So I decided to test drive it and I loved it! It drove completely different than my Explorer; very comfortable so I decided to take the Ford plunge again. It's not been a week yet, but I absolutely love it!

I love my Freestyle

I've only had my Freestyle since the end of December, but I love it already. I've seen some complaints about a lack of power but there is plenty there for me and I love the way it corners - like it's on rails. Every time I get a tank of gas, someone compliments its looks. The good news is that I don't have to fill it up that often. It's gotten in the mid 20s since I got it. When it's time to get rid of my wife's Odyssey, I'd consider getting another one of these.

Detailed Review

I am moving up to this car from a '97 Accord. I see that most other buyers are scaling down from SUVs. To me, my new Freestyle drives like a truck. The suspension is stiff (but OK) and I can feel the weight of the car when turning, although I could take corners at least as fast if no faster then my Accord. I used to drive a Volvo 740 and this Ford seems to be an enlarged replica of that. Controls on dashboard are in the same place etc. Power. When I first drove it it seem with no life at all, and I wanted to give up. My wife got in the driver's seat and she found the power! It takes off slow from a standstill but after that feels very powerful. If you floor it on the freeway the CVT downshifts

Thank You Ford!

I'm thankful to Ford for building a car I've been searching for for years. I really don't like minivans, and SUVs are gas hogs. This car here gets great gas mileage, has lots of room, rides nice, handles like a dream and I could go on and on! I highly recommend this vehicle. I can't find anything wrong with it. I don't understand where the critics are coming from; it's like the perfect car for any need. Ford hit a grand slam on this one. I feel like I got a $35,000 car for under 25 grand. I am extremely happy. Once again, thank you Ford!
