Used 2017 Ford Explorer Consumer Reviews
Surprised by How Great This Explorer Is
After an intense road trip....... Dallas to Austin to Houston to Dallas in 3 days...in the rain along the way.... I have fallen in love with my Ford Explorer. Rides great....which is saying a lot considering I was driving a Cadillac. It also drives great. Update: Passed the 10,000 mile mark. Still love it. I have named it Henry........Henry Ford. No problems.

Great SUV!
BEST SUV EVER! have this car as a company car for a year and still no problems at all. We had a 1997 Taurus and a 2005 escape.I love this car a lot!
Best family wagon!
We have the base V6 xlt with drivers connect package and a few other options. We bought it brand new January 2018, have 22k on it currently- no problems at all. I thought the foot pedal lift gate was kind of a gimmick but it’s actually turned out to be useful. Mpg is acceptable, performance is great and even being front wheel drive, whenever we pop up into the mountains of San Diego for snow visits, it has superb control and traction! Don’t know if that’s because it’s heavy or the Michelin tires. For school drop offs and pick ups, it is superb. I get all 4 of my kids in easily and there’s still plenty of room for our two dogs in the trunk if I’m headed out with them for a walk after. Surprisingly good towing vehicle, trailer away control etc. It is unbelievably quiet inside, very comfortable and just a great family wagon. The most surprising thing to me has been how composed the suspension, ride and handling is. It doesn’t lean at all round corners and while soft and compliant, it remains really controlled and poised. There’s just nothing bad to say about it if you just need a family vehicle that’s practical on so many levels.

Great SUV at a nice price
3.5 L V-6 twin-turbo is awesome! The car hauls! Interior is very nice and quite. Smooth ride. Great for a long road trip. Lots of feature at a decent price. I would put up it's features, performance, and price up against any foreign or domestic car/SUV. If you have not owned a domestic car before, give this one a try. You will love it...and have a lot of extra cash in your pocket I was a BMW guy for 25+ yrs . I owned a 328, M3, and X5. This is a great SUV. The Ford Explorer Platinum is really quick for a heavy SUV. Take a test and and you can decide.
