For a 6202lb. truck w/ a gas engine , I'm enjoying the additions to this truck. I added an AFE intake & a double AERO-TURBINE muffler system to the truck right after buying it. With 2200 miles on it, I went on a trip to Yellowstone Park & then back thru west western half of Colorado. I averaged 16.3mpg on this mountain trip & had more power than I could use. Try these changes on yours. It was done for mileage, but it also added a lot more power.

I purchased this truck new in 2004. this was the third new dodge truck purchased by me.From previous experience I knew not to get the auto tranny due to failure in the previous two 1500s. I knew when I went to the dealer about cummins reliability and long life and I also requested the six speed manual. before I made the second payment, the truck broke down 5 times. However, dodge would not buy the truck back under the lemon law. you would need a really good lawyer to fight dodge. I am really glad I kept the truck. after I got a good mechanic from dodge to fix the problem this truck has been great. Pushing 175,000 miles and not another single issue. 24.5 mpg@70 mph 33.0 mpg@50 mph. still stock.

Dodge made good use of free space (underseat storage) The Hemi engine is strong and verry capable. Trans seems to be decent for the power (5 spd auto) Over all this truck is a great work and family truck. Agressive looks!

I compared Chevy, Ford and Dodge before I bought... Simply put: Dodge = more for your money. The Cummins Turbo Diesel is quiet, powerful and fuel-efficient. The ride is firm, yet comfortable. I took my Ram to show to a friend who bought the Chevy Duramax. He drove down the road, came back and said he wished he'd bought a Dodge! That's quite a testimonial coming from a lifetime Chevrolet diehard! Everyone is impressed with the quiet & powerful Cummins engine. I haul a heavy work trailer and you can barely tell it's there! I had a Dodge Dakota, then a Chevy and now this Dodge Ram. I am truly a Dodge fan now! Thanks for a great truck at a great price!

Had a Nissan Titan before this. What a pile of crap it was. Always in for repairs. The Dodge never once has let me down. Looked at the Tundra. Overpriced and very UGLY. I can see why Toyota is trying to give them away now. Nobody wants them. Way to go Dodge. I'm sold. Two of my buddies traded in their Tacoma and Frontiers to get one also.
