bogging down
I would like to know if anyone is having a problem with the 2009 crew between 30 mph and 40 that it feels like the truck bogs down and has less power also happens at 50 mph seems slugish. Also air noises in cab. This is my 4th truck some how its running performance feels different at these speeds. Anyone can help please do. I brought it to the dealer he said its fine but I don't.
Dissapointed.....Again
I bought an 06 Quad Cab with 20" tires only to have Dodge buy it back after three months due to not being able to balance the tires. Ended up with an 06 Mega Cab that was great and ended up trading it in on a new SLT Crew Cab only to have the same trouble as I did in 06 with the Quad Cab. It has been in the garage each week that I have owned it for tires. They have tried Goodyears and BF Goodrichs with no success and I believe that it is up to around 7 different sets. It is a shame that a great looking truck still has the same issues as they did back in 06. They say it swallowed a Luxury car but evidently it forgot to eat the wheels!

Poor support from Dodge
I have had a vibration problem since I bought the truck. It is a 1500 Laramie top of the line fully loaded. It came with a bent drive shaft, four bad rims, bad tires, poor paint (dirt in the paint, clear coat runs) Rough edges around the rear bumper. Very poor quality control. The regional manager says the truck is supposed to vibrate when you go down the road. It feels like you have a bent rim. I have had no support in trying to get it fixed right. I will never buy a Dodge product again. It's a shame, because they designed a very nice truck. It is the lack of support and the poor quality control that came with the truck I am unhappy about. Also the dealers I have used in Florida have poor service.
What a truck
I told my wife when I hit 50 it was time to trade wife or truck. I got the 2009 1500 Laramie. I have installed a 3" lift kit and front in leveling kit with 285 Goodrich TA, chrome running boards, tonneau topper and cold air induction system. This truck will stop traffic with the looks. I have 16 year olds to 65 years tell me it is one of the most beautiful trucks they have every seen. The black paint with the gold flack really stands out. I had never owed a Dodge until now and man this is all the truck I ever wanted. Move over Ford and Chevy Dodge is headed your way.
The perfect personal use truck
I test drove and was not impressed by the competitors....F150, Tundra, etc. etc., (although the Silverado was nice). I must say that the Ram 1500 crew cab with 5.7 Hemi is superior in many ways to all of them. Ride quality is very impressive. Power is impressive, yet fuel economy is very good with MDS system. My MDS is on roughly half the time with 50/50 highway/city driving. I'm getting about 21 mpg highway and 16/17 city. Do not underestimate usefulness of Rambox with bed extender/divider option! MSRP $40,000 - $6,000 EP- $2500 owner loyalty- no charge hemi- dealer cash-military discount = $26,700 + TTL. WOW! Nobody else even came close on performance or price.
