Used 2008 Dodge Nitro Consumer Reviews
Awesome Ride ... I Would Recommend
I've had my 2008 Blue Nitro for almost 2 weeks, It is an investment for me cause I hadn't had a payment on a vehicle in almost 6 months. I had a Red Jeep Liberty Limited 2002 that I paid off in January and was so glad to see it go. I had nothing ,but problems from the Liberty during the last 3 months I had it. When I saw the Electric Blue Nitro on~ line I wanted one. I set my mind to it and finally ran across one (that was blue with low mileage) and purchased it with no problem. The sound system is also a plus and I have sirius satelite radio for 3 months at no extra charge. Anyway check it out for yourself if you wanna' know ... go test drive one.
08’ Dodge Nitro
This has been a good dependable vehicle, just could use more horse power, slow when you need to merge into traffic. The rear suspension is stiff giving it a harsh ride. Excellent in snow or wet weather and that boxey design allows for a lot of rear storage.

Strong motor, that's a great-looking body
I now have a hundred twelve thousand miles on this Nitro. the only mechanical issue I have had was the water pump went out and I replaced it. That was a $30 repair. I have those course replace the tires brake pads and rotors front struts and rear shocks. All items that are expected to wear out on a vehicle that has over 100k miles. It rides like a truck and has plenty of cargo room. That's a 6000 pound tow rating. I'm a stickler for maintenance so the fluids I've always been changed regularly. I think it's a great little SUV.
I Love My Nitro
I purchased my brilliant silver Nitro 2 weeks ago. Thus far I have no complaints. This vehicle is turning heads. I traded in a Honda Element for this suv. I was skeptical because I never owned a Dodge before and some of the customer reviews were not very impressive. However, I am pleased with my decision thus far. The gas mileage is better than expected too.
DON'T BUY ONE - 2 much $ for the MISS BANG
Horrible misfiring problem. "This is a well known issue by Dodge", yet I haven't seen one thread to help clear up the issue or provide a fix. I was told the rough ideal was normal at the beginning. Now I almost can't even drive it, the engine vibration is so bad and it only has 125,000 miles. I am waiting for a rod to shoot out of my hood or the engine to completely literally emplode. One code I am recieving is P303, cylinder 1 and 4 are misfiring and I have tried changing the coil packs, changing spark plugs with no success. Unless someone who reads this from Dodge provides a solution to the issue and reaches out to all of us Dodge Nitro victims then I will not support a company anymore that pushes junk down the assembly line then clams up when a majority of their customer are pulling their hair out trying to fix their investment and there is no information out there for us to obtain to do so. I'll be more than happy to remove my post when I am provided a fix, hell better yet a call or notice in the mail offering it to be fixed.
