Good Suv
Bought the Durango with Hemi for towing a 26' trailer. Generally does well except through the high desert states where it constantly shifts up and down even with the tow feature engaged. I can usually find a happy medium towing but not so here. Would probably do better with the 3:73 ratio differentials instead of the 3:92. Also maintenance is expensive requiring synthetic oil in rear differential. An exhaust manifold stud broke in the head @ 43,000 miles. Shop had replaced same one on another Hemi a month earlier. I don't mean to talk the rig down because I really do like the rig and enjoy driving with all the bells and whistles and great stability.
Best SUV around for less $$
I dont know where to start I have seen other SUV that offer some of the same features but they are all more money... for the size and options on this car I think its the best bang for the buck... things like the MP3 player makes me take my hat off to Dodge for their efforts to listen to the consumer. And i love the room.

Improving with Age
This is my 3rd Durango and I love it. The interior design is far superior to the Durango's of the past. Love the look of the vehicle from the front, but the rear leaves little to be desired. I've always had the upgraded V8 engine and I must say the HEMI hasn't brought the power that I expected. Although the response is good its just not what I've been accustomed to in previous models.
HEMI Power
First of all, wheres the "5.7" option in the list at the start of this page? Fit and finish under "cons"? please, that's old news, if you didn't know you where in a Dodge you would think it was something built in Japan! they have come a long way, it simply amazing what Chrysler has done with this truck, just go drive one, and then compare the price with anything else in or near it's class, unbeatable! don't even get me started on the HEMI, man this thing is fast!
Durango LTD
I love the new "Hemi" Durango Ltd. The only things I would change about it would be the front fender and hood design, and on the interior, the length of seatbelts in the front. I'm a big guy,but have never had a problem with the length of seatbelts in any vehicle except this one. Overall, Dodge hit a homerun with the "Hemi" Durango.
