2025 Chrysler Pacifica Consumer Reviews

Its A Chrysler for goodness sakes
Unfortunately, I rented a Chrysler Pacifica summer of 2024. It was extremely hot. So, I figured the same entertainment cluster problems was due to heat. Bkank screen, no audio, no a/c control, dropped BT, unrecognized BT, etc..etc..etc. Other threads have people shutting off the car, pulling fuses, pulling battery cables, etc. For a 2023...no one should be experiencing massive system failures as described. y others. Chrysler shkuld be ashamed...but they dont care. Never did with all the poop.products that (may look good) but don't live up to the expectations (abd sticker price) of modern automobiles. No radio should be blanking off by current standards! I feel sorry for owners who are stuck with these lemons! I was stuck with a rental for 3 days and was frustrated from day 1.

Connnnnneccccctivity, not so much.
This newish rental drives decently, front reasonably comfortable, 2nd row not so roomy. We are making a trip using phone navigation. Connectivity stinks. A cable movement starts errors. Blue tooth is not reliable, two phone hook up brings screen freeze ups that don't go away even when phones are disconnected. We changed cables ant the freeze ups continue. Navigating thru a large fast paced city becomes a nightmare.

We still love a mini van
Great van. The days of affordable vehicles are over. The days of minimal electronics and manual controls are over. The standard model has way more bells and whistles than I would ever choose to have on a vehicle. The auto manufacturers leave us no otherchoices. I have owed a Plymouth Grand Voyager, Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country and now the Pacifica. I feel the Town and Country power train was smoother than the Pacifica. The shifting is a bit clunky at times and throttle response is sub par. It has a nice ride quality and is very comfortable. I hope this rig lasts as long as it's predecessors. I feel the Pacifica was the best over all mini van choice vs the competition. The mid seats that are stow n go have a terrible headrest release system. There is a weak point that connects the latch to the headrest. It's going to break if you use the stow n go. They should be ashamed of the failure rate and repair cost. $150 for the entire headrest and dealer install cost to repair a .10 cent piece of plastic. I just repaired my father in laws headrest on the passenger side. I plan to make a metal replacement part for that plastic bit. Same design for years with no changes from them. Google it. Pacifica stow n go headrest failure.

Solid family choice, no lingering problems
After seeing my 2013 T&C in action, my wife decided to trade her transmission-troubled Nissan Pathfinder in and become a minivan mom. After a year and 16k miles, we've only encountered 2 glitches, detailed below, which resolved themselves, and 1 persistent and dangerous problem. This review is for people comparing modern minivans, and for people coming from an old Chrysler minivan. Pros: - Fantastic combined gas mileage (high 40s), if you plug it in daily. On trips, it's only slightly better (2-5 mpg, ~29-31 hwy) than my 2013 T&C (26-27mpg hwy), and far better than the 2013 Pathfinder (16/23mpg). - Great acceleration for a minvan. My 2013 T&C is a dog, and the standard Pacifica wasn't noticeably better. The Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey are nearly as good. Toyota is worst. My wife likes her acceleration, so this was important. There's some engine noise and slight hesitation when the engine kicks on to supplement the electric motor at high acceleration, but less hesitation than a transmission shift. - Decent handling, for a minivan. The lower CG with the battery packs helps. The independent rear suspension design is far and away better than the 2013 T&C's torsion beam. Odyssey has the best handling, Carnival second, Chrysler 3rd, Toyota is very blah, and the steps are noticeable. - Lots of bells and whistles. - Quiet. Very noticeable noise reduction from my T&C. I haven't measured it, but I would guess 10-13dB. Much less engine noise than the Toyota under heavy load, and a little quieter than the Odyssey. - eCVT. Totally different than the Pathfinder's CVT and all non-hybrid CVT transmissions, eCVTs are very robust and reliable. They're only available on hybrids. Cons: - Middle seats don't fold. Love this feature on my T&C, but that's where the battery pack lives. Seats are still removable, but heavy and bulky. Also, the fixed seat anchor points are much more family friendly than the sliding floor tracks in the Toyota (and possibly others). - All the tech. It's nice, but it's a single point of failure. The only analog gauges in the hybrid are the power meter and the fuel gauge, and there's no tach. The standard Pacifica has a more traditional setup. The climate control has buttons and knobs for some things. The 2013 T&C has had issues with the blu-ray player, rear screens, and GPS over the years, some fixable, some not. - Adaptive cruise. First, there are separate buttons to turn on regular cruise and adaptive cruise. Second, the adaptive cruise wants to accelerate and brake hard, rather than drive smoothly. If someone merges in front of you, it will give you whiplash. - Cruise control. There is a dangerous flaw with the cruise control, where if you press and hold the + button, it will accelerate indefinitely at WOT, even after releasing the button. Pressing and holding the - button effectively disengages cruise. There are a few NHTSA accident reports that sound like they could be related. - No spare. The 12v battery is in the trunk where the spare should be. - Not all options available. The hybrid doesn't come equipped with some options that the gas engine hybrids have, like the power folding rear seat and integrated vacuum cleaner, and you can't get them, either. - Same issues. The engine rocker arms, the plastic oil filter housing, fuel pump relay, and many other issues carry over from previous designs. Problems: - Fueling. When brand new, I had to fuel the van slowly, or it would trip the shutoff on the pump, or fuel would spray out. That issue has resolved itself with no intervention. - Failed to charge. The hybrid battery has failed to charge 3 times when plugged in overnight. A drive cycle seems to clear the problem. - Cruise control. This is unacknowledged by Chrysler and the NHTSA, and unresolved. It is easy to duplicate on your test drive. Turn on cruise control, press +, then press and hold + for ~2s. When you release, the van will keep accelerating. I don't think the brake disengages the cruise control, so use the Cancel button to stop accelerating. Overall, I would buy a second Pacifica Hybrid for myself if my van died, but not sure if I would go top spec. My wife only has to fuel up once a month, if driving in town and charging nightly. I'm fueling up at least once a week. I'm slightly jealous of how nice hers is, but I also don't miss that payment.

Max Value in a Mini Van Plug-in Hybrid!
So some people have had nothing good to say, but that is not me. Being in Texas I have enjoyed spending near $40.00 dollars a YEAR in gasoline and since a new law passed in Texas costing full EV cars $200.00 dollars a year to register the Plug-in Hybrid is exempt from such a fee. No other Hybrid has the space to haul people or things around in comfort it has all the bells & whistles you could want and owning one since 2019 it has served me well with little or no cost to repair, it did have a few recalls that the dealer took care to upgrade in a timely manner making it even better to own! there will always be nay-Sayers but not I as it is the best all around Mini van to drive in all weather, and yes we see snow in Texas just not more than a few days a year. I have changed out the tires with Run-Flat type to make it even better and got an adapter to use Tesla charging stations when on the road plus added a charger that I plug into the electric dryer plug in my utility room since my dryer is gas with a long enough cable to reach when I park it in my garage, at a much reduced price than adding a 220 Volt charger in my garage which has saved me a great deal of money to add extra stars to my review so I get a MAX value out of this Mini Van.Plus all the people who ask me about it and love the deep blue color with light tan interior.it is a head turner any where I go.
