We waited for our 300C to come in and then turned out to be very disappointed. After five times in the shop all for transmission related problems, they finally found the problem which took 10 days to fix. After 30 days in the shop after only six months of ownership, it was time to say goodbye to this car.

I'd buy another 330C

Aside from the fact the Dealer wouldn't offer much of a price break, the car itself is well worth the $38,600 sticker price, infact it's a steal! The minor problems I've had with the car attributed to build quality were; wiper/turn signal stick was defective and the wipers would come on when using turn signals, and the wipers in the auto position. Front end camber was off and caused tire wear on edges of front tires. Transmission plug was lose, and caused a minor fluid leak.

Great car! Terrific engine and transmission. Love the styling. Constantly get asked: a) is it a HEMI, b) can they look inside

The interior is filled with cheap, hard plastic and switchgear, which, IMO will probably start losing pieces and squeaking within 20k miles. At idle, the engine shakes the car. Engine and road noise are intrusive at all speeds. The ride was overly rough - - each small bump is met with a a jar and suspension noise. There is no steering feedback. I am worried that the 8-4 technology will, at the end of the day, ruin the engine (remember the Caddy 8-6-4?) If it really worked, why isn't Mercedes using it on their cars? The 300C competes well with Lincolns and Caddys, but Mercedes, BMW and Lexus are in an entirely different league.

As a previous owner of 3 Cadillac STS models, i was dubious about the 300C as a replacement. I can honestly say that, for the money, this is an awesome car. It is great to look at; a pleasure to drive; performs and handles great; and it is classy and comfortable.
