2024 Chevrolet Trax Consumer Reviews

Sporty
Handles so smooth, and has plenty of room.
Great small SUV for the money
3500 miles and no problems. Takes off fast enough and handles like a car. Mileage is a bout 34 interstate. No engine noise. Did get comfort package and driver assist package.

Can’t beat the price!
I bought the 2024 1RS model. It comes well equipped, and was a little over $23K out the door. I love everything about it, with one exception: I hate the start/stop feature, but you can over-ride that with the push of a button. I eas concerned about the tiny 1.2 liter engine, but it’s more than efficient for everyday around town. Mileage 30.1 in town, 32.8 highway. Was hesitant to buy a Chevy, time will tell if the tiny turbo engine holds up, but right now, I’m really happy with it.

Great car!
I have a 2024 Chevy Trax LT. It is a great car. I average about 31 MPG but it does better if I try to drive more sensibly. It is a very sporty looking compact SUV. Wish it had all wheel drive but other than that I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I have gone 15000 miles without any problems.

Love it but major drawback!
I have loved this vehicle but have run across a potential deal breaker. We love to bike and you can not get a hitch to attach a bike rack!! We love to ride bikes. Now limited to riding in our neighborhood only. We tried U-Haul 2 times but they couldn’t get a hitch to fit. I’ve been checking bike racks but with the design of the rear you take the chance of snapping off the part above the rear window if you use any bike rack I have currently found. I love the car for many reasons but this can be a deal breaker. If I can’t haul my bikes, it will go back when my lease is up and no matter how much I love this car, I won’t get another unless I can install a hitch for a bike. I even called corporate. Soooo, if you’re into biking I would recommend you stay away until they solve this issue.

Don’t do it!!
Don’t do it! Had to trade it after 4 months. First, the driver side window wouldn’t go down. Then the infotainment system failed and can’t be replaced any time soon because the part is on backorder. The car doesn’t have cupholders in the back and it’s slow. It’s a piece of crap for $27000+. Be warned.
I can't beleive it.
I stopped by a Chevy dealership and there was only one 2024 Activ Trax and it was sold but the salesman let me drive it. I was impressed. I decided to order one but that dealer would add on things like locking lug nuts, LoJack, etc. I was going to pay for all of that so I went to another dealer that was not trying to rip me off and order an Activ. Can't wait to get the car.
Trax has no trax
I bought a Trax Active 2024 .1 month I sold it back to the dealer; Dash goes black, phone disconnects when it feels like it, gas smell. I am a Firefighter smell gas trax was gone. Barry

The new car we bought, but can’t drive!
Our daughter saved for her first car and was so proud to buy a brand new Chevy Trax on 12/23/23. On Christmas Eve, a deer ran out and hit her front passenger side. Over $5k in damage. That’s sad. What’s more bleak than wrecking your first brand new car on Christmas Eve, only 24 hours old? Not having it fixed yet because Chevy has NO parts for the repair. Get it together, Chevrolet!!!! If you’re going to sell cars, make enough spare parts for repairs to be made. Here’s my advice, if you’re buying a brand new Trax, don’t hit a deer or have an accident. It’ll be months before you’ll drive it again. Signed, disgruntled Trax owner.

I Got Satisfaction!
Comfortable, perky and quiet, I like this car a lot!
Great Value!
I own the Trax 2RS. Thee 2RS is loaded with standard equipment. However, GM playing the option game, will not make power lift gate or driver power seat as an option. Power driver seat is standard on the ACTIV, if you want black wheels. The 3 cylinder engine offers plenty of power for a low budget daily driver. My common drive is rural and small town allowing the Trax to average around 32 mpg. Winter it will drop below 30 mpg. Not perfect, but worth the price!

Zippy car. Tons of room inside!
We absolutely love this car. It gets great gas mileage. Roomy inside. Zips around town with the little turbo. Oh and the price 23,000. Heated seats. Heated steering wheel. Doesn’t feel cheap like the other $20,000 cars!!

Love my new Trixie
The Trax is a great vehicle. I traded in my 2016 for a 2024. Loved my 2016 but it was time for an upgrade. Very sporty, smooth ride, great size - not too small or big. Lots of space inside, love the dashboard and it’s features.

Is ok but not great!
I recently test drove one the other day because I loved the new design. However the new design is just about all that's good about this vehicle. The tiny 3 cylinder engine gets the job done but is noticeably sluggish at times. The fuel economy is pretty below average as well. This is why I'm not a big fan of 3 cylinder engines due to the fact a 4 cylinder gets just as good of gas mileage as these tiny 3 cylinders. Heck my turbo 4 cylinder gets the same gas mileage and has over 60 more horsepower. The interior is covered with cheap hard plastic and there is absolutely no rear cupholders which is laughable considering I've never known a vehicle not to have rear cupholders. They cut cost a lot on this vehicle and it shows. If cost is really important to you then this vehicle is ok...however there are so many better options out there for just a bit more money. There is the issue of long term reliability especially given the 3 cylinder engine and which Chevy has proven in the past not to be very reliable in this category. In the end I went with a Mazda CX30. Chevy just isn't what it used to be.

GM has come a long way in their quality.
The only thing I have an issue with is the controls are hard to see. Otherwise it's a great car.

Your next car
I just leased a 2024 chevy Trax with RS Trim, Its Outstanding! Sun/moon roof, heated steering wheel &seats, remote starter, back up camera just to list some. This car drives like a Luxury car with out over spending with Bidenomics sucking everyone to death. Its a smooth drive. A very affordable car with more room than the Previous trax model.

Not happy
Sunroof too small and situated too far back. Not worth the expenditure. The rear view mirror is too small, but no matter, nothing to see back there, like driving out of a tunnel but, all the time. Not sure about the handling, seems to steer better in reverse. Looks sharp, for sure, but, Chevy should have done something about that sluggish performance on demand, out in traffic. Kinda scary, not getting up and going when you mash that pedal and need to get out hard. Certainly would be better to be able to have more choice in options, kinda get locked into things you don’t want to get to the things you do want. Specifically not having the ability to get a sun roof in the LS package. End up having to pay for so called options that maybe you won’t want. Personally, as for mentioned, the sunroof was not worth it, too small and too far back.

Great car, great price
I was looking for a new car when my old dependable 2012 Escape became not so dependable. Let's just say I was suffering from sticker shock while car shopping. I saw a commercial for the Trax & decided to go to the local dealership for a test drive. I'm at the point where I didn't need all "the bells & whistles" in a car. I fell in love with the Trax as soon as I took a test drive. And my sticker shock went away. I ended up buying one with remote start & heated seats. I love it!

I wanted something new within my price range that I could pay cash for. I had a 2015 ford explorer that was desperate for an upgrade. I fell in love with the trax! I got the LT package and I couldn’t be more happier.

2024 Trax poor performance
Like the style and space of Trax. Performance is poor. It has no get up and go. This is first Chevy I ever owned and with Performance and handling is not good. Got me thinking Chevy needs figure out how make Trax with better horsepower and handling.

2024 Green Cacti Chevrolet Trax
After researching this car for more than a year, I was ultimately forced to buy a new car. So far, this car has met or exceeded my expectations. I knew that the 137HP was a concern, but I decided to purchase anyway. I purchased the fully loaded RS Model and so far am very pleased.

Traxing in 2024
My little SUV, I just love it’s the right fit for me
Oops ! No AC with remote start!!!
Numerous 2024 Chevy Trax including mine do NOT save AC/defrost/heat settings. So if you want your AC to kick on when you remote start your vehicle…. Do NOT purchase this vehicle. So far the dealership has not returned any of my calls!!! I guess it all started with the fact GM removed the Awd availability because the sales of the previous Trax were not good.
Sporty 2RS Trax
Likes technology, trim style, comfort, quietness, heated seats/steering wheel and of course the color, cactus green!! Dislikes manual rear hatch!!

I Hate This Stupid Car
I bought a Blazer EV without really considering the purchase enough and, for various reasons, ended up taking it back to the dealership after a week. So I was stuck trying to find something else on the lot that I could get into without completely losing my shirt. I ended up driving off with this piece of junk. It feels cheap and flimsy, the uninspiring engine sounds like a lawn mower, and the poorly appointed interior is stiff, hard, and uncomfortable. Every time I look at it I want to throw up. GM should be absolutely embarrassed that they rolled something like this to market. I’ve only had it a month and I’m already longing for the day when I can get rid of it and get back into an actual nice vehicle. I am determined to drive this car as little as humanly possible and pay it off as quick as I can.

I don’t want a 3 cylinder! I also want a Priemier model that has moon roof, fog lights, heated seats etc.
Mellow yellow
I like the way it warns me that there’s someone beside me. I like the way that it turns. Smooth riding.
