They say they cannot replicate the transmission shifting issue, so it remains unrepaired. The other issues are mostly design flaws or cost cutting issues/27k should have not gotten us such a poor quality truck). (Previous observations) No drivers side grab handle to get in. Seat belt clips are too low on the sides of the seats. Paint chips fairly easily. Why no locking fuel door? Cruise control light under RPM needle. Interior seats and plastics cheap, some annoying rattles. Gas mileage for the 4 cylinder is still disappointingly low and transmission downshift is odd sometimes a clunk forward or weird quiver from rear end. The first review dealt with the initial defects (crooked steering wheel bar, wet new carpet, emergency brake pedal location problem, cheap interior seat fabric, anemic air conditioner, etc). We also noticed the underside was very exposed from the wheel wells (a lack of full sized wheel well liners) and underside it is very exposed too (a lack of protective skid plates) - both of these are standard on most vehicles. The carpet on the floor (not just the seat fabric) is terribly cheap - we are getting these little hairballs of carpet on the floor, all the time - the carpet will be gone totally in a few years of ownership. The A/C is the weakest we have ever seen in a new vehicle. Sometimes while slowly slowing down the transmission (from the rear end) "clunks" into a lower gear, and we can feel it in our seats - or a weird little quiver at times. There are no recovery hooks on the front (standard in many vehicles) if you ever have to tow it. The gas mileage is the worst for a 4 cylinder vehicle we have ever seen. We added step bars to get in or out of it. The paint chips easily so you need a deflector on the hood. The cruise control works fine. Interior storage space is a premium - our small hatchback has more interior storage. Power driver seat is nice. Manual mirrors are killing us and power ones should be standard for a truck (you can't reach the passenger side to adjust it with your hands while driving - a safety concern).

Great truck and great value

The 2021 Chevy Colorado 4x4 WT was surprisingly fitted with comfortable extras that make this great for both work and pleasure. The truck handles wonderfully and it very easy to drive. It has everything we were looking for and we are using it for both personal daily use and for hauling around our property. We got the larger 3.6L engine. It is very affordable compared to other trucks in this category. Highly recommend this truck.

I bought my Colorado in September 2022. Within 300 miles I noted a noise a different speed ranges. I was told it was because it has oversized tires. I took it in at almost 700 miles and it was found to have a bad differential. After 35 days in the shop it was finally fixed, but now I have new noises beginning. The climate controls are goofy. When you turn it on to automatic you can not turn it off by simply pressing the same button. You can not permanently turn off the park assist option. The headlights do not properly illuminate the road at night. The tilt/telescoping wheel is hard to move and does not have much range. The interior lights are slow to come on when you open the door and do not illuminate the inside of the truck well. Cup holders are to small for larger drinks. The truck does not accelerate well, very sluggish. Braking is also a concern at higher speeds. I traded in a 2005 Silverado with almost 160,000 miles on it and I regret it.
