Great 1 or 2 person car
Don't expect anyone to get into or ride in the back seat. Nearly impossible to sit up as adult and thus should consider this car a "two seater" and 3/4 only in emergency or children (w/o childseat...it is very hard to get it in and kids head will hit ceiling!). Golf clubs will NOT fit widthwise: sure the car is wide enough, but GM Engineers (in their infinate wisdom) made the trunk supports so they come down in the trunk and squish anything taller than 4" tall for at least 6" from each side. And the best engineering feat? Do NOT let your key fob go dead or low. To get into car (there are NO key holes in either door) you have to open the trunk (the key hole is 3" above license plate top...hidden. Once trunk is open, there is a plastic pull tab under rear window deck (if you are over 5' tall, you cannot see it without leaning into trunk). Pulling opens driver door. You now are in the car-but fob is only way to start it-so you are sunk. Don't get me wrong, I love this car-but you had better know idiosyncracies before buying it!

Love Hate Relationship
No doubt this Cadillac makes heads turn and frequent compliments and attention wherever I am, due to its sexy sleek body design and jacked-up"booty". Every time I think about trading it in or selling, I'm drawn back, as the 2012 body design is unparalleled to all other manufacturer coupe designs out there, and for the way I drive, it has just enough horsepower & torque to have fun cruising around, but not an uncontrollable gas-guzzling muscle care by any means. I agree with other reviewers toward the limited trunk and back seat spaces, but its rare I load up in either place. I will say that those "idiosyncrasies" can catch you off-guard if you don't do your homework on this vehicle. To change the headlamps, the front bumper & assembly need to be removed for access, no keyhole entry w/ unprogrammed key or dead battery presents problems, and the common mechanical issues over time from owners relating to rocker arms "squeaking", tire/wheel sensors, key fob, driver/passenger door button fail, and a few others not mentioned. Overall, if you maintain this vehicle, its a pleasure to drive in decent comfort and style.

Beautiful car
I love a good looking car and this one of the sharpest and most unique looking cars on the road. The fit , finish and paint quality are impressive. Its as nice on the inside as it looks on the outside. Very comfortable seats and clear well thought out controls. A little disappointed in the 10 speaker Bose audio systems power output but the sound is crisp and clean. The six speed shiftable auto is smooth and quiet. The engine seems under powered and struggles to haul this small yet 3900 lb. car up to speed from a stop. It has good freeway punch and does well once you get it rolling. Handling is tight and flat and inspires confidence in wet or dry conditions and extremely maneuverable.

solid, responsive and capable
Don't buy a CTS coupe if you have difficulty getting in/out of a car, or are looking for a roomy rear seat compartment for adults. Do buy the car if you appreciate a solid, responsive and capable road experience. I bought the RWD because I preferred a smoother drive compared to the AWD CTS's I tested, and have so far experienced very good traction on interstate travel in downpours. Doubt I will want to drive the CTS during major snowstorms, but I bought it already having a car for extreme winter weather. I think the car looks great and garners respect from other vehicles. I have read about CTS owners who experience a 'shudder' in low speeds before the transmission moves into a higher gear. I have experienced this one or two times at very low speeds, but during normal driving acceleration it has not been noticed. I wanted a comfortable touring car with a lot of attitude, and this is what I've found the car to have. Less than 40,000 miles and runs like new.

Surprisingly Impressed
My first american built car , coming from a BMW 650i Coupe, my 2012 Cadillac Coupe is well built, handles great, very comfortable and fun to drive. The sport supension gives the car a tight and sporty feel. Handling and cornering are great. The fit and finish is well done and though many may feel the interior is tight, I like that feel in a sport coupe and would buy a sedan or SUV if I wanted roominess!! I was tired of the expensive quirkiness of my past BMW's and Mercedes and after 4 Lexus' - wanted something different. This car has unique style, you don't see 4 of them t every stop light and it is quiet, has a great sounding engine and is comfortable.
Awesome car!!!
Doesn't look like everything else out there. I test drove all the competition and I think the performance of this is as good as any and it just looks so much better than the others. The back seat is the only drawback but I don't have kids and only use the back seat rarely so it's not an issue to me. My wife and I love this car. It's a luxury sports car.

Bought this sexy sports car (5/18)
We bought our 2013 silver 318HP Cadillac Coupe in like-new condition with 60,000 miles on it for $16K (plus tax) at a local Cadillac dealer. It's fast, handles and rides great like a sports car should, and everyone comments on how sexy it looks. My wife loves it. Driving it makes us feel like teenagers again! The only negative is the hard-to-get-in-and-out-of back seat.

love the car
If you don't sit in the back it's a great car. Looks great, holds up and fun to drive. People still tell me how nice the car is. Looks new with 50,000 miles on it.

Very nice sport coupe by Cadillac...
Typical coupe, difficult enter/exit of rear seats. However, very nice features, performance, comfort for a sport/luxury coupe and great design outside! Had the vehicle since new and I’d hate to trade it in for the more bland(er) newer Caddy's, so I purchased a BMW650!

What a thrill!
The car is a stunner visually. It's hard to walk up to it without a smile on your face and you get a lot of positive reactions from other people. The interior is also very nice, as with all of the CTS line. The seats are firm, but comfortable. I've made a 2-day, 1400 mile trip in the coupe and was very comfortable. I have the performance collection coupe w/o the summer tires and the ride is firm, controlled but comfortable. I don't feel isolated from the road but I don't feel every bump in it either. The car performs well and is a lot of fun to drive. The rear seating is tight, I would never put an adult back there ... who in their right mind would buy a coupe for the back seat?
after 4 months
bought the car new 4 months ago,3 weeks after i had it the plastic covers over the door latch mechanism fell off,not a good start[for a $60,000 cdn car] informed the dealer and they were very apologetic and said as soon as i could get it in they would fix it which they did no cost.i would like a little more power, but when in the semi automatic position it performs a bit better.the reason for my purchase was the styling and all wheel drive.i live in northern alberta and winter is around the corner!i will keep you posted, otherwise very happy with the purchase
fun car to drive even street race some
its a good car. fun to drive with awd make it quick out of the hole. not meant for every body. i had a lot of mustangs if you like them you will like this car.

5 Years, 8 Months Now
5 years, 8 months now. Still love the car. Originally leased the vehicle, bought the car at the end of the lease. Paint is still easily chipped. Still only basic maintenance done to vehicle. Oil change, tire rotation, etc. No warranty work needed at all. Need to be careful that the driver's side window lowers itself before closing the door. Had a couple times closing the door where the window jambs against the door frame and bent the door trim a bit. I am 6-5, lots of head/leg room (no sunroof). I have about 3 inches of clearance from my head to the roof. I need to move the driver's seat about 3 inches forward from the farthest back position for comfort. Trunk space is fair, 2 rolling bags and some extra stuff. Right leg rests against the center console while driving, this isn't very comfortable.

Shocks suck
Just replaced rear shocks at 30,000 Miles. This is totally preposterous and BS. There is no way these shocks should have blown at such a low miles

It Gets Unsolicited Compliments
This car has all the bells and whistles. I'm talking luxury features I didn't even know existed. And they all work perfectly. Being a 2dr. coupe, it's unlike most of the boring ugly cars and SUVs you see polluting the road these days. The 3.6L V-6 has surprisingly strong performance when you need it, but smooth docile behavior when you don't. Beyond that, the 10-year-old one that I bought looks, feels, drives, and smells like a new car. I'm very pleased with it.

Car gets looks!
I absolutely love this coupe. I sold a beautiful 2007 Saturn Sky that was my 2nd car to drive hard. It was a pretty sporty model, I had the turbo. Pretty low to the ground and I always said when I start grunting getting in or out (I’m 76) it was time. I still wanted sporty, handling & comfort. I found a 2012 Coupe, cinnamon color. I powder coated the wheels and front grill black. I get looks and thumbs up all day long! I’ve heard complaints about the rear seat, they are valid but I drive so I don’t care! Right about poor design on trunk, way too small. My main complaint is the “chatter” I get when making a tight turn. The differential feels like it’s slipping. I believe it’s an electrical engineering issue. The sensors in the differential are not sensing the wheel rotation. I’ve had it looked by Cadillac dealers, transmission specialists and my reliable mechanic. They all say the same, no fixes. If anyone out there has a fix I’d love to see a reply to this review. Also I just replaced the bolts in the rear drive shaft, two (there are six) of them sheared and it was kinda expensive due to all the labor needed to get at the shaft itself. If not for these issue’s it would be a five star!

Although my well cared for CTS Coupe is 12 years old, I am often asked if it is new. The styling is stunning and timeless.

Owned for 3+ years with many more to go
I've owned this car for over 3 years now and still love it. Currently at 90k miles and just did the 90k mile preventative maintenance. Haven't had any issues and never had anything break. AWD handles great in the snow and ice. Turns heads (especially in the snow) and gets many compliments. Not a super fast car but fast enough to have the occasional fun with. You won't find a better daily for the price.
Buy the RWD if you can
I love this car just not a big fan of the AWD. You cannot deviate from the factory wheel circumference or you will damage the drive train. It makes it difficult to put custom rims on it. Tire pressure has to be dead nuts, especially in the winter or you will spin on ice. Car is heavy as balls too. 4000+🤯. It's not fun to jack up and put on jack stands. I bought ramps, makes it easier. The 3.6 is decent considering what is has to move, I'm happy with the power. 0-60 in 6. The gas pedal is different from what I'm used to, you almost gotta put it to the floor to access the power but once it kicks in hang on. But it's nice I guess because you can just leisurely drive around comfortably when you feel like it. The doors are awesome, I imagin if they ever failed it would be a spendy fix but still cool as hell. The headlights turn with the steering wheel which is totally awesome but they are about $260 a piece to replace. (Not the bulb). My radio sucks but I'm not sure it's working correctly, I have the bose (all highs, no lows, must be bose) but I'm not sure the subwoofer is working. I'm adding my own soon. If you can, get the 3.6 engine 2013 or newer, but if you get a pre 2013 you should change the o-ring for the oil passage to combat the oiling issues and with ALL these 3.6 engines, YOU GOTTA WATCH THE OIL. I cant make it any more clear. Keep it full and check it once a week. These engines use oil, quite a bit actually, it's just the way it is with these, It doesn't mean they are bad. If you run low on oil with these you will have big problems. Top it off twice a month and you'll be fine. You cannot just go by the dash oil monitor, it's not calibrated right for this engine. This is just a cool looking car IMO. I just love looking at it from my window at work, mine is heavily customized but even when it was stock I just love looking at the lines and the staggered wheels and how they line up perfectly with the bodywork. The taillights are just amazing and the car just looks sweet from the rear. I get alot of looks in this car and it's by far my favorite of all the vehicles I've owned. I plan on keeping this car for the rest of my life. I absolutely love coupes and am very sad Cadillac decided to abandon all coupes. I consider this car a treasure and am very lucky to own one. I hope,in my lifetime, Cadillac will make a coupe again, I will be the happiest person alive. I might buy another one and have 2, this time RWD. You just project success when driving this car and it's empowering. P.S. GM.....you sold out America and you know it. Shame on you. You took your bailout and moved to Korea. I hope you will make it up to us somehow.
