Used 2002 Buick Rendezvous Consumer Reviews
Stress factor
Ever since I got this car it has caused tension, especially in the winter. The electrical problem is such that the car just dies and it's not the battery! The a/c has gone, the brakes have gone, and there was a bearing problem and tires getting worn due to easy skid on the turns, no control. Very disappointed with this car. I hope it lasts me another year or so at least.
Good kidmover, mileage should be better
No real problems. The knob adjustment for the lumbar gets knocked off if you're not careful exiting the driver's seat, but slides back on. I just removed it. It rides more like a Van that anything. You're up high and need to be to see around the mickey mouse ears for side mirrors. It handles on ice exceptionally with the AWD and that's a reason I bought it. I like the chisel cut design of the exterior. It jumps to the response of the accelerator, way more tranny jump than I like. It's my wife's car and she doen't "go there" so it works out OK.

Wheel bearings
I have owned this vehicle since 10/01 and while I am happy for the most part, I am starting to have issues with it. The tires wore very quickly compared to the other models I have owned. I am in the process of replacing both front wheel bearings and hubs with only 43000 miles. This car has not been off road and only sees highway travel. This level of quality is unacceptable. A poor showing for GM in my opinion.
BUICKS LITTLE KEPT SECRET
I WAS IN MARKET FOR A VEHICLE WITH A THIRD ROW, NEEDED TO BE ABLE SEAT 2 CAR SEATS AND A 10YEAR OLD, GROCERIES STROLLER ETC.THE TEST DRIVE WENT VERY WELL, THE SUV HANDLED MORE LIKE A CAR, WHICH WAS GREAT. iT RIDES SIMILIAR TO A MERCEDES, VERY SMOOTH. INTERIOR SPACE IS WHAT WAS THE DECISION FOR US TO KEEP SHOPPING. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR ANYTHING BEHIND THE THIRD ROW. THE SECOND ROW SPACE IS CRAMPED. IF YOU HAVE 2 KIDS IN CAR SEATS I SUGGEST YOU KEEP SHOPPING.
Test drive results
Test drove this vehicle. I like the inside "feel" of it better than any other SUV I've driven in its price range. It drives comfortably in town. On the highway, road and tire noise are muted but there is an excessive (annoying) amount of wind noise. If they get the aerodynamics working a bit better, this will be a quiet vehicle. The biggest concern is reliability. While Buick LeSabres for example are known for their quality, the engine in this SUV is the same as that used in the Pontiac Aztec.
