Love my Bimmer. Great ride, comfortable and extremely reliable! My BMW X3 is now going on five years old and my opinion of this vehicle has not changed. I have not experienced any mechanical problems. Just regularly scheduled service. The dealer is professional and very responsive to my needs.

Cooling system fail at 60k

Just out of warranty and cooling system started leaking. Repair estimate was 14,000.00!!! Not even worth fixing. A horrible decision to purchase a BMW. Never again.

All I can say about this car it is a treat to drive, and if you buy one get X drive fully loaded, it's fun to drive.

I took delivery of my special ordered 2019 x3 40i this past April and now have about 3500 miles on the clock. While I have not had any problems at all there are some things that need to be said. The sport exhaust needs to go. I'm not a 20 something trying to impress my friends by being loud and obnoxious. Sport brakes bring a big break dust problem and that's not very sporty. Head up display is something I could easily do without and resent having to pay for it. The final insult is the giant hole above me called a panoramic sunroof. This monstrosity is just waiting to rattle or leak some time in the future. Now be aware that most of my complaints are because these items are part of the "package" that you must buy in order to get the m40i motor. On the upside this car runs and drives so beautifully I try to ignore my gripes and 21.4 mpg around town is very good given the available power.

I purchased the 2019 X3M40i I LOVE THIS SUV. It is so fast that when step on the gas it give me butterflies. I cannot say enough about the ultimate driving machine. Driving is believing :)

I just traded in my 2019 for a 2021 because I got a fantastic trade-in value. The little guy never caused me any trouble and it’s a great driving car. I loved the panoramic roof, heated seats that go all the way up the back, comfy and a cool instrument panel that’s easy to use. This is on top of the fact that it’s a fun car to drive.

Great driving experience. Fast and nimble. Turbo is a delight. Interior is elegant. Very comfortable too. Exterior design is elegant specially in a darker color for me.

This is an awesome car, solid, heavy and have a lot of power. I mostly drove daily to railroad station which is 5 minutes away. Occasionally drove to NJ about an hour away. I took good care of it and its interior looked brand new when I returned it in November. I would have bought it if I wanted to own a car. Unfortunately I like to lease a new car every 3 years.

I’m so in love with this truck. It drives smooth. It’s not too big or small. Just right. It has everything I was looking for. The interior and added features makes it so much better.

Coolant Leaks and more @ 60k miles

I fixed a cooling leak for the upper hose, which cost $1400. I also found out the coolant seemed dark so I took it in for a flush at the local dealership. They found another possible leak from the water pump and a possible leak from another hose. They gave me an estimate of $2000. They found the windshield washer pump to be worn out and would cost $300 to replace. They also found the two motor mounts requiring replacement which will cost $3000. I was about to go ahead with the repairs, but I know the oil filter housing isn’t a time bomb. So I reluctantly traded in and bought what I am familiar with either a Toyota or Lexus. So I got a 2025 Lexus RX. The Lexus definitely doesn’t drive as well as the X3 however, I am no longer concerned with hoses that may burst gas that may fail or any other engine related issues.

I owned an Audi Q5. Very nice vehicle. Was thinking of another, then drove the X3. Both vehicles are excellent, but I say the X3 is brilliant. Just a shade better. Beautiful fit and finish. Quiet yet fully capable. Great safety features and a bit more spacious then the Q5. Pricing in my area was just a bit more aggressive on the X3. The BMW seems to do everything well.
