We just upgraded our etron to the new Q8 Etron and this makes it our 5th Etron . Audi could have done more to improve range and efficiency but the car is still a great vehicle. The general public is not very informed on what electric vehicles are capable of. Anyone leaving a negative review that the car “will not charge to 100%” is not aware how the range estimates work. Audi does a very good job of estimating range based on weather, temp, speed, habits, etc. We have owned 5 Etrons and have family members with another. We daily drive it and have even taken a cross country trip in it. The car is extremely comfortable and it more than makes up for the time spent charging.

The Audi Q8 E-tron is an awesome car that is completely let down by a horrible, horrible charging network. You get 2 years of free unlimited charging on Electrify America which is owned by Volkswagen, the parent company of Audi. However, the chargers are ALWAYS broken and many of them are an older 1sr gen design that doesn’t have a cord long enough to reach the charge port on the front of the car if the charging station is facing the parking spot in at a certain angle. Furthermore the app integration with CarPlay on the navigation screen is a total frustrating let down. It requires you to sign in first on your actual phone before you can use it on the navigation screen, and will sign you out after a period of time, which is a total inconvenience when driving and you immediately want to see what charging stations are nearby. Then, although it displays how many chargers are allegedly available at each location, it will show available chargers with incompatible plugs and also low speed level 2 chargers. That means when you finally drive the distance to get to the charging location you’ll often find the available charger Wrong plug or will take hours to charge. .

The Audi has been a great choice in converting to an electric vehicle and has made the switch an easy one. Unlike the Kia, Hyundai or Tesla, it truly offers a luxury feel, wireless CarPlay, solid driving and all the other perks of a modern EV!

Travel roundtrip 85 miles a day in San Francisco , the single most quiet car I have ever driven . Owned 5 BMW’s in the past . This is my first Audi . The vehicle learns your route and become more energy efficient as it learns . Beautiful fit and finish
