This is an absolutely unbelievable vehicle. It is the perfect balance of luxury, performance, and comfort. The technology far exceeded my expectations. I've owned the car for two weeks and am still discovering new features and settings. I opted for the loaded Prestige with 21" wheels and Perrelli summer tires. without a dought, the rims complete this already prefect car. I considered buying the A7, but couldn't find the interior/exterior combo I was looking for, and in the end it came down to a body style choice, with the A7 adding about $10k more. The A7 has far more trunk space, but with the fastback, you give up significant headroom in the rear seats. Otherwise, the cars were nearly idenical.

I replaced my 2016 Jag XF-S for a CPO Audi A6 3.0 Premium Plus about 30 days ago. The virtual cockpit is amazing; light years ahead of my wife’s 22 E Class. The touch screen for climate and MMI interface work a treat. I find myself using MMI instead of carplay most days. At times the tech and lack of an engine/exhaust note make it feel akin to an appliance. I was worried that the A6 would not be as quick as the Jag (down about 70hp), but I haven’t even noticed (torque is the same). I don’t notice much turbo lag, perhaps due to the mild hybrid. The steering and road feel is pretty good, low road noise in cabin, and no squeaks or rattles to mention. In short, 90% of the car is thoughtfully and well designed. The other 10% beyond bad, perhaps even atrocious. I’ve had constant issues with the electrical hybrid system causing massive and widespread electrical failure. Trust me, it’s no fun getting locked in your own car. However, my biggest gripe are the front seats. I’m 5’8,150lbs and find the seat bottom to be far to narrow and short. Measurements confirm that it is more narrow than an economy seat on Spirit (17 inches vs 17.5 on spirit). It’s a shame that seats on a budget conscience airlines are more comfortable and better engineered. For the record, I have the heated and cooled seats without the massage function. If the rest of the car wasn’t so competent, I would almost consider the poor seats to be enough of a reason to go back to another Jag . So close Audi, but I honestly wish I kept my Jag at this point. UPDATE: I feel like this car was at its best during a limited 45 minute test drive, but day to day commuting was another story altogether. I was so impressed by the engine, transmission, quietness and technology during the test drive I instantly pulled the trigger. Two weeks later the alternator went out which was a 3 week repair, most of which was without a loaner (class action lawsuits are pending because this happens on all A6's and A7's) After the alternator issue, the car was never the same. I experienced persistent "Emergency SOS Malfunction" warnings at highway speeds which would automatically apply the brakes or lane keep assist with out any rhyme or reason (almost causing a couple of accidents). "Central Locking Malfunction" would either lock me in the car forcing me to climb out of the rear door, or would not lock any of the doors at all. A myriad of other small issues would constantly come and go. During 9 months of ownership, the car spend almost 3 months at the dealership who never managed to fix any of the software/electrical issues with the car (could not replicate). I also found the car tough to live with, software/electrical issues aside. Audi spent a lot on what you see, rather than what you touch/feel. The padding on the armrest was very thin and my knees and left elbow were constantly hitting hard plastic surfaces. The front seats were far too uncomfortable and small for a luxury car and the lack of storage in the cabin was laughable. Lots of creeks, especially around the sunroof, and rattles should not be commonplace on luxury vehicle with 25k miles. It's obvious that Audi squeezed too much money out of the interior/cabin of the car. I found it uncomfortable and tough to live with. The controls, while slick on a test drive, are tough to operate without taking your eyes off the road. Otherwise the engine, transmission and noise level were very good. The steering feel was also pretty good, but not in the same league as BMW, Jaguar or Cadillac. In short, the lack of comfort and reliability were enough to make me get rid of it after 9 months of headache ridden ownership. If you are looking for a car that drives well and is stuffed with technology, this is your ride. However it seems that you can get a more comprehensive luxury package (comfort, performance, reliability, sans tour de force technology) from other European manufacturers.

Traded in my 2013 for a 2019 45 quatro . great car and beats MB, BMW, JAG in from performance to price.

This is an amazing vehicle.....more than words can describe. It has excellent exterior and interior aesthetics, comfort and loaded with technology and safety features. The power on acceleration, driving dynamics is exhilarating and beast mode....no kidding. It definitely is the car for that executive who is progressive and a go getter!
