Used 2005 Acura TSX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 6M) Consumer Reviews
Enjoyable car
First thing I have to mention is that the dealership I purchased from was willing to negotiate price. The safety features drew me to the TSX along with the horsepower. In researching out other cars in this category I was amazed at the features that came standard on the TSX. Its a fun car to drive and looks good but the back seats are the right size for children, adults will have a tough time getting in and out. Another surprise is that the car is not supposed to have a total load of over 850 pounds in it which means four adults can ride in it and no more but that is good considering how the back is so small. I like the tan interior but it is difficult to keep clean.
Disappointment Reigns Supreme
I've had my TSX for 1 yr,(my first luxury car) and I'm extremely dissatisfied. I initially loved the car, but about 5 months after purchasing it, it started to have loud, obnoxious squeaks and rattles-- from the windows, the sunroof, and god knows where else. It struggles to get up I-70 in the CO mtns and struggles to go when at a stoplight or an on ramp. Accords and Civics are blowing past me. No one knows what the prob is. My windshield washers never work. I won't ever buy another TSX. Plus, it doesn't seem to be holding its value like I thought it would.

Mixed Expirience
I initially loved my TSX, but regretably the ownership expirience has turned out to be quite frustrating. My copy has an idle vibration unbecoming of a $30K car. It also quickly developed brake issues in first 15K miles. Vehicle also makes high pitched whining sound at speed. Told brake grinding sound and vibration were normal. Dealer blame for whine goes to tires. Dealer no help with regards to any of these issues -- "talk to Michellin". Climate control display shows incorrect temperature (by about 5 degrees). Will trade in on something else within the coming weeks.
Lovin' It
I just bought my Acura, it was my fourth car in 3 years. I've had a 2000 Celica GT-S, 2003 Infiniti G35, a 2003 NIssan 350Z and then my Acura. All manual transmission. I must say that when it comes to performance, I have not been able to beat my 350Z. But isnt that what Nissan is about? BUT when it comes to comfort and reliablity my Acura tops my list! I love it. I feel safer and it uses a LOT less fuel then my last car. LOVE IT TO DEATH. More sensible for New York winters.
Tom's Acura
Great balance of comfort, performance and economy. Looks great, sounds great, great value!
