My boyfriend tried getting me into the Cadillac CTS like his. I was not having it. After looking at Audi which I have wanted forever. I happened to pass by the Acura dealer. I wasn't crazy about the service we received at the dealership initially, but had to go back to see if the 2nd time would be a charm and it was - the car sold itself. I have a little boy in a booster seat, there is plenty of room and we all fit comfortably. I love my TL. BIGGER BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

With about 140,000 miles on the vehicle, I have not had a single repair, all the various American-made cars I had didn't even last this long not alone not having any repairs! That alone qualifies for 5 stars. Performance wise the car in 2009 was the fastest non-turbo V6 4-door sedan on the market at that time, so the performance of the car is very good. It also will get 32 mpg at 70 mph. The handling is pretty crisp for a front-wheel drive 4-door sedan. So why did I give it just 4 stars? I don't think the quality of the materials used in the interiors are anywhere near as good as a Lexus, the Acura is like a dress casual car, whereas the Honda is a casual car, and the Lexus is a suit and tie car inside. Even today Acura still doesn't put a lot of effort into the interiors of their cars, lots of plastic is used. The seats for me are not really comfortable, but I have had lower back fusion so it's difficult to find a comfortable riding car, so I can't quibble over that. If the driver is a tall person, over 6 feet tall, the passenger behind that person will be rather cramped with barely enough leg space. The trunk space is surprisingly large for a small car, and there is a little cubby hole you can open up between the rear seats in case you have a long skinny object to put inside the car, my 7 foot fishing rod fits into the trunk and through that hole and it fits fine doing that. Another weakness is the stereo system, if you find one in which the speakers are not blown it will sound good, just don't crank the system up, the front speakers will not last long if you crank it. A lot of people have the speakers replaced, my fronts are shot, but the rear is still good so I adjusted the fade to turn off the fronts. These cars sold for $44,000 back in 09, today you can find them pretty inexpensive at around $12,000 with less than 100,000 miles. They seem to be holding their values pretty well, that's probably because they are extremely reliable. Reliability, MPG, and performance are the huge pluses for this car.

I've owned Hondas in the past and upgraded to the TL. Love the car. Lot of tech w/voice controls, XM radio, etc. Holds the road well, good acceleration and getting 27 mpg on the highway commute with about 600 miles on the car. My only complaint is the seat is very stiff and will probably prove tiring on a long trip.

Absolutely Amazing Bang For The Buck

The car is built like a tank. Totally solid. Every detail seems to have been thought thru thoroughly. Suspension on the FWD car is just perfect. Not too firm, almost no body lean in turns (the SH-AWD car was too firm for me). The technology in this car is amazing and it all works so seamlessly. I've never seen a better nav system and I come from owning a Lexus ES350. The screen is gorgeous. Power is incredible for a car that gets this kind of mpg. Everything about this car suggests that it should cost $10-15k more. At around $36k it's undoubtedly the best bargain in the automotive world. I like this car better than my friend's E-Class.

I bought a new 2009 Acura TL w/Tech Package. We were either going buy the TL or a Mercedes Benz E350. We chose the TL because the Technology was way more advanced. However, it is not the perfect car. But out of all the cars I have owned, this the best so far.
