  Rick, I just got a 98 Sonoma with 183,000 miles, vortec 2.2, auto trans, ext cab. I traded a 2003 Nissan Frontier Ext Cab, 2.4, auto trans and like you I got better gas mileage with the Nissan at 237,000 than I do with the GMC. I have new plugs, K&N air filter, injectors cleaned, the works, so what gives out there!!! any ideas

  i have a 2003 gmc sonoma crew cab ZR5 4x4. i was noticing problems with my fuel guage so i changed the fuel pump and sending unit out. well to my surprise it didn't fix the problem. whether the tank is full or empty, the guage reads empty and the fuel light is on 100% of the time. does anyone know a fix for this?

  I just bought a 2003 GMC Sonoma and it had a constant vibration when I tested it. The dealer replaced the u-joints and hanger bearing and had the shaft extension put in and balanced.   Today I will go for the replacement as you discribed. It's the 6th busted latch handle on my 2003 sonoma. I just get tired waiting at the dealer for them to do the replacement each time. I will go buy a bunch of handles and get familiar with the method of replacement. May even try to reinforce the handle design with fiberglass and epoxy. The GMC design on this handle sucks. ...
