I replaced the front struts on my 1996 chrysler concorde and now it feels like the front end is floating. Not sure if i need to have it aligned now or if there is something else wrong. I am going to repalce the end links but i don't think that's going to do it. Does anyone have any ideas. thanks

Hi all, I recently purchased a 1996 Concorde LXi with about 130k on it for 2000 bucks from a private seller and it seems to be a pretty nice car. I totaled my 2000 Taurus SEL and have only ever driven Ford's but I wanted something inexpensive and easy to drive and this car seems to be it. There are a few things I've had to do since taking ownership on ... Read More

I have recently traded my 1996 Concorde for a 2000 LXI. The '96 was an excellent car. The lonly noise experienced was from the Traction Control an dABS. they couldn't fix because they said that it was supposed to make noise. My 2000 is actually much quieter and I certainly hope it stays OK. I went from a 94 Saable to th e'96 concorde and will tellthat there is no comparison. ... Read More

I leased a 2000 Concorde LXI in September 1999. Until recently, I also had a 1996 Maxima. As far as road noise, I was shocked at how poorly insulated the Chrysler was! It is such a luxurious car, but it is nowhere near as quiet as my Maxima was. My wife drives a 2000 Altima, and despite being smaller and several thousand dollars cheaper, it is every bit as quiet as ... Read More
warranty-needed for transmission

I currently own a 1993 Dodge Intrepid ES. I had to replace the transmission at 65,000 miles. My son has an 1994 Eagle Vision and replaced the transmission at 42,000. A neighbor had a 1996 Chrysler Concorde and had to replace the transmission at 38,000. Is there a pattern here? Chrysler's warranty is only 3 years/36,000 miles. I love the Intrepid, Eagle, Concorde styling, but the maintenance costs are abyssmal. I've ... Read More

I have a 1999 Concorde with 14,000 miles which is currently in for service for the 8th time. The problems have been suspension and electrical. The car pulls to the left and so far by replacing sway bars, putting a reenforcement package on the front end and replacing the rack and pinion on the front left has not corrected the pulling problem. The electrical has been the windows intermittently not performing ... Read More
2000 Concorde

Just yesterday saw a 2000 Concorde on the lot at King Cotton Motors in Covington, Tennessee. They hadn't done the usual post-delivery check-outs on it yet, so I couldn't sit in it or drive it, but a brief through-the-window eye-ball revealed that Chrysler seems to have addressed my one aesthetic concern with the 1998-99 models, viz. the tacky-looking gauges. The first two years have dashes that don't look noticeably nicer than ... Read More
