    Unless I'm missing something, BMW actually recommends AGAINST any fuel system additives (Techron or otherwise) for pretty much every car sold in the U.S. and Canada since about 1999 or 2000.

    Okay, "a wholesaler?" only BMW dealers offer CPO cars, so that answers that question. It is possible that the dealer that took the car back off of lease either didn't want the car or had already completed his quota of CPO's.     Nj BMW dealers are always talking trash. Go to another dealer besides this one. Either he doesn't know there's a 2000 incentive or he isn't telling you about it or, he just might be dumb. The car holds 2600 dollars. You should pull the trigger at anything greater than a total if 4300 total off msrp inc the 2k trunk money.

    I'm buying a CP BMW 328i Coupe with 14k miles, my maintenance warranty is valid thru 12/2010 and the extended warranty thru 12/2012. I usually only put 6k miles on a year. Do I need the extended maintenance warranty for $2000? Do I need the road hazard tire warranty for $1400 for 5 years?

    I tried jump starting, but the engine didn't turn over even once. the headlights turn on, as well as the interior lights and radio. I plan to get it towed to the BMW dealer tomorrow but want to get an idea as to the cause if someone has had a similar experience and it turned out to be something other than the battery.

    Funny thing. Every older car I have with an analog speedo has been dead on. Completely accurate. 66 ranchero, 87 fiero, 93 t-bird, 2000 dodge intrepid. all very accurate. all still running too. 250k on the t-bird, 180k on the dodge. Sorry I ever bought the pos bmw.     It does stink that you (& so many other 335 owners) are experiencing these HPFP (High Performance Fuel Pump?) failures. I don't know why BMW doesn't just issue a recall, it seems like they're just waiting for these things to fail on a case by case basis.     There is no manufacturer holdback on BMWs so you will have a hard time finding a true deal that is actually below invoice. That's asking the dealer to take a loss on that car. $500 over invoice, minus the $2500 holiday cash for a total financed cost of $2000 under invoice is a good deal. $300 over invoice is a great deal.     You can do much better. In Late August during a sales event I got an 09 328i coupe which was nicely equipped (premium/nav/heated seats, etc) at 2400 BELOW invoice. We started straight at invoice. We deducted 2000 lease cash. He gave me another 400 discount for being a nice patient customer. So just at invoice is not so good for a 2009. Keep grilling them.

    You dumped the clutch at 2000 rpm? I'm surprised it didn't just bog down. I like diesels as much as the next guy, but the BMW V8 in the M3 is not a low end torque monster...that thing likes rpms. If you were serious you'd have had it up at least 2x that rpm before dropping the hammer and you would have left the diesel for dead..

    When I bought a 2000 328Ci recently, the sales rep told me there was a way to connect an iPod to the audio system, and I could ask the service dept for help with that. Since I've sold the car, it's not something I would pursue but it might be worth a call to your local BMW dealer's service dept. to see what they say about it.

No Xenons. 39K miles. The sticker said they were asking $18,9K for a (almost) 9 year old car! They must have picked the car up at an auction for what 6 or 7 K?
