Love this car
I bought a 1993 940 sedan on craigslist a few years ago with 150k miles on it, and it's been super reliable. A few things parts have needed replacing like the muffler/exhaust, but nothing major given that it's a 30 year old car. No body rust whatsoever and very smooth engine. I've taken it on s number of longer trips (up to 1000 miles round trip) with no problems. If you find one of these cars in good condition, it's definitely worth buying. It's also a pleasure to drive -- solid, sturdy, and surprisingly powerful.

I wish I could buy another!
Purchased used with 87,000. I have put into it about 3,800 dollars in almost ten years. It now has 216,000 miles and still runs like the day I got it. I have never missed an oil change or fluid change and have done then at 3,000 miles not the recomended 5,000. parts can be exspensive but look on the internet and get the part you need for 50- 75% off and have you local shop install it.

27 year old 940 GL Volvo
Purchased it new in Germany in 1992. Drove it on the Autobahn for more than one year. Hit speed of 110 MPH and it handled like a Mercedes Benz and I passed Mercedes Benz going up hill all the time! 🤪.

Look for a Honda or Toyota
I wanted this vehicle for its safety. Unfortunately, (over the span of a year) we have spent 4,000 dollars on repair. Now we have another 700.00 dollar car repair. I would never buy another Volvo again. It seems every time we drive it a hose bursts, and we have another car repair.
