Used 2015 Volkswagen Passat Consumer Reviews
Great Until the Turbo Blew Up
I had a 2013 Passat TDI SE that was great and part of the buyback program. About a month before I was supposed to sell it back to VW, the Turbo blew up around 80k miles. The car was in the shop for 2 months. What happened was the turbo blew metal into the engine and destroyed the engine, at least that is what they told me. So, the car had a new turbo and a new engine that had to be flown from Germany. I would have expected that the turbo not blow up and destroy the engine, but... I was disappointed. Had I been planning on keeping the car that would have been great, but knowing that there are issues with the turbos on these cars, unless you plan on installing a new one that isn't junk, then I would steer clear of the car. When I bought the car, I bought the extended warranty, which cost around $1800. The repair total on the engine replacement and turbo was close to $9000, so thankfully I bought that.

Sexiest car
I love this car. It looks expensive and it really drives fast and smooth. This car makes me really happy. I do not desire other cars :)

Review of my VW
Has a lot of room in the back seat area and good trunk space. Mileage is not as good in the summer months. The car is five years old and still a damn good car 2021 still a damn good car - better than buying a new one for sure

Interior- with color clothing- faded on the seats
Please beware of tan interior with color clothing. Have been back twice to have seats, head rest, and arm rest replaced. Very upset how my new jeans changed the color on the drivers seat and my friends red jacket faded on my seat, arm rest and head rest only riding to work 30 miles one time. I am not the only person this has happened to.
