Delighted new EV owner
Our first EV and it's a winner. First impression is fantastic. Impressive fit and finish. Car is spacious, comfortable and hugs the road. Plenty of acceleration when needed. Great in snow. Steering wheel and seats heat up in seconds. Chose this EV due to range, AWD and good ground clearance. Highly recommend.

Great EV!
This is a really solid EV. It’s quite, comfortable, has tons of room and one of the highest ground clearances of any EV on the market beside Rivian and the Subaru/toyota EV. The ID.4 charging speed is not the fastest, but it’s up there and has a good charging curve. I rarely need to stop for more than 15 minutes to charge on a road trip. While the infotainment software could be a little better it’s not an issue for me since I just use Apple CarPlay. I think VW did a great job of making a great practical EV that balance all the compromises of different EVs in just the right way for me.

Fun Drive!
This has been a great car to drive—quick, comfortable, and handles well. Most of the “professional” reviews I read are extremely picky and generally irrelevant. Yes, the software could be tweaked, a heads up display would be great and the interior could be a bit nicer. Of course, more range would be great, so this isn’t a car to take in long trips (most EVs aren’t). My primary complaint is that bidirectional charging isn’t implemented yet—despite promises this would be available long ago. Waiting waiting waiting…Anyone interested in an EV should check out this vehicle!
Love my ID4
I had a 2021 id4 pro s gradient and really loved it. The drive is excellent! Smooth and quiet and built solid. I made the mistake and traded it in 2023 for a model y long range thinking the range would be much better. The range wasn’t much better. I only kept that for 4 months because of the awful build quality, awful ride, awful service, and unsafe autopilot. I happily purchased a 2023 id4 pro s again and couldn’t be happier to be back. Get an id4!

Luxury VW
First EV, hard to go back to gas vehicle. Quick off the line and I’m getting close to 300 miles at 80% charge. I’ve had two Jettas in the past, this is next level.

VW Id.4 is disaster in winter, charges goes down
Despite having a good looking and 5 star safety features, this EV during winter the is worse car i have ever experienced. I bought AWD Pros S for $53k and I was happy to save gas money but I ended up with fast charging stations because it takes more than 12 hrs to charge full in home so fast charging stations cost me double of gas. Another big problem is that rapidly consuming battery in winter when you need AC heat on. I turn on my AC and the charge started decreasing like numbers you can see in secs. That is horrible.
best car i've ever had
I have had this car for 2 years now and had two electric cars prior to the id4. I'm 67 so I've also had a lot of ice cars over the years. The smooth handling, the terrific all wheel drive traction, the high rate, and the quick acceleration are all major benefits. The car also has considerable utility value with considerable trunk space and can easily tow a good size trailer. the reliability is incredible with essentially no issues in the two years that I have owned it. Overall, best car I've ever owned.

Well Built No Range
Love the vehicle as it is well built and good looking. It is very slow compared to any Tesla or Hyundai electric. Range at 90% is 224. That is the main issue of you need a vehicle to travel with. This is a car for the suburbs or inner city only.

First time EVer!
We leased our 2023 RWD Pro S back in July 2023. Very comfortable ride and super quiet. We chose the RWD over the AWD as it accelerates plenty fast enough for our needs and the range in slightly greater (saves nearly $4k as well). We are averaging 4mi/kw hour on the long term calculator! That comes out to an average of 308 miles in range (based on the 77kw usable battery). Installed a 50 amp outlet (40 amps usable). Sound system is decent and I have become more comfortable with the infotainment system as the months pass. Had only one issue in that the screen(s) went black when driving home one day several months ago. Next time I went to use the vehicle the system must have rebooted and it never happened again since. I highly recommend the ID.4 to anyone looking for an EV that has a local dealership presence. Our vehicle is fully covered (bumper to bumper) during the entire 36 month lease as is scheduled maintenance for the 10k and 20k checkup. Got a great deal leasing it as the Fed tax credit of $7,500 was taken off the price before the monthly lease numbers were generated!
