I bought a '98 Cabrio GLS earlier this year as a summer toy and to save on gas vs my large V8 truck. I was fortunate to find one that was well taken care of with 105k+ miles on it. This thing is solid and a BLAST to drive. I needed to do some minor maintenance to it when I bought it but it just goes & goes. I am hoping that with proper maintenance it will last me 4-5+ more summers of fun if not more.

I love my Cabrio! It handles well, it's compact and great for gas. It's manual version has got to get-up-and-go power! Not much room for back seat passengers, but definately not the worst I've ever seen. The ultimate chick car. Powerful air conditioning, great sytle. My cabrio has 100,000 miles on it and it drives like new!

if you want a convertible that is also quite safe, THIS is the car. sporty, peppy, fun to drive.

I have had no problems in the past year+ of owning this car (even with negligently little maintenance). Volkswagen has won me over completely... VWs have more "soul" or personality than other cars I have driven and/or loved. I wouldn't trade my car for anything else!!
