DSG Failure at 1692 miles!

2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI
We loved our new GTI for about 3 weeks but the the DSG transmission suffered a catustrophic failure at 1692 miles. The car lurched several times and then said reverse gear was not available. We pulled off to examine and found we had only first gear available. We were about80 miles from home at the time so VW roadside assistance had the car taken to the closest dealer (after a 3+ hour … wait!). That was two weeks ago and the car is still there, waiting on parts and tools. We were told it is the first DSG replacement of its type and it may take several more weeks. VW of America has been NO help so far and we are monumentally disappointed.
Update: This car was replaced by VW of America after an exhaustive process and the replacement car was so bad that we traded it off within the year. I will NEVER buy another Volkswagen and advise others to do the same!
