2019 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack
I’ve only put about 1,200 miles on this car, but I really love it so far! Very competent, very pleasant driver (especially as a 6-speed manual), decent cargo space, tasteful interior w/ many thoughtful touches, elegant and sporty exterior and MUCH better MPG than advertised! I feel like this car checks off all my boxes. At the SE trim level I purchased, I miss having a memory function … for the driver’s seat, but that’s really my only gripe. The stereo sounds good, road noise is minimal, seats have long-term comfort. Really just a very competent, well thought through car and one I can see myself enjoying for years to come! You can have your SUVs, I’ll take my all-season sportwagon!
UPDATE: Still l-o-v-e my Alltrack! I’m reminded of how much I prefer driving my VW whenever I have to drive my wife’s. CX-5. It’s a nice enough vehicle, but my Alltrack is so much more engaging. The performance advantages it brings, especially w/ the manual, and its confidence-inspiring competence really makes the entire driving experience better. And I’ve driven it 1,500 in a single day, so I’ve really been able to test that theory! Just a great little car, and absolutely perfect for me! I have close to 10,000 miles on the clock and ready for many, many more!
UPDATE: 17,000 on the clock and still in love! This car does everything I need and does it well. Not one single solitary problem, either, so reliability seems pretty darn good. And check out what they’re asking for these on the used car market. It’s obscene!
37,000 miles on the clock & except for being a door ding magnet, this car has been great! Zero problems, fun to drive…. What’s not to love?
