Dealer Review:
Porsche of Arlington Virginia I bought a 2016 Porsche Cayman S last week on line from this dealership. Here’s an evaluation of the purchase and sale transaction I found this car on Autotrader.com. I talked to the Internet Salesman by phone and eventually reached a deal. The deal according to kbb.com was a good deal. As is common these days there was a dealer prep fee of $800 not included in the published price. Not as good a deal after that add on. Also they gave me a trade in price for my car which I considered fair. So I thought I had a decent deal. Since I was not able to complete the transaction for a few days they required a non refundable deposit to hold the car. Not my favorite part of transaction since I had not seen the car. From there my satisfaction with Porsche of Arlington declined significantly. For my convenience I had decided to finance the deal through them. They said I had to unfreeze my credit files of course, which I did. A series of phone calls with them followed during which they said all 3 major credit files needed to be opened. Eventually they said they had access to 2 of them but could not access the third in spite of me unlocking all 3. Then I sent them a wire transfer since the financing wasn’t going to happen without access to the third credit file. When I arrived at the dealer I was told they received the wire but could not accept it as it came from my wife’s account. She was not with me. As a result I said there as nothing else I could do, expecting that as the end of the deal and I would be out my non refundable deposit. Then after a trip to the finance manager they discovered they actually had received a credit report from the third credit report agency and that I qualified! From there it was off to the finance managers office where I thought naively to sign the finance papers. The finance signing took maybe 5-10 minutes. Then the add on service contracts sales pitch started and lasted a good 20 minutes. Any service you could think of was offered via a sheet of paper marked up with lots of prices! All the prices were “discounted” or part of a package! I thought he was talking about annual prices! I was wrong they were monthly prices -about $900 per Month! I said No! By then I was tired of the now 4 hour process and just wanted out. The sales guy on the way to the car handed me a key fob and said there was only one key! Wouldn’t you think that a high end car would come with 2 fobs? The sales guy said they only guarantee 2 fobs with CPO cars! Eventually they offered a second fob for $350 less a $75 employee discount! All’s over you would think. Not so. You remember the wire I sent and they could not accept? They said they would send it back to my wife’s account. I expected since it went from my account to theirs overnight it would be returned with same speed. Not so. After a couple of days I called and was told that it sometimes takes a few day to arrive back in the account from which it came. A day or so delay I could understand. Other than that they were just hanging on to our money. I would not deal with them again! Buy a car on line from Carvana where I had a great experience.

Dealer Review:
Don't buy from this dealership. They are very tricky. I communicated with their sales people via text, all on records. The otd price they showed me is $27,450. I looked and asked abt $995. They responded back that if they take that off, do we have a deal? Then I responded back saying $26,000 and we have a deal. Guess what? They started to run my credit application. And when I called and talked more abt the results, the manager mentioned the price is $28,000 because they have to pay $2,000 bank fee to get approved. I was like "so i have to eat that $2,000?" - i was under assumption that its the deal $26,000 thats why dealership started to run application for finance approval. They said no, the OTD is $27,450. DON'T BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.

The car was listed at 15,500, and the deal they offered me was $19,700 for taxes and tags and fees. I thought it was the 1950’s, I was treated like an uneducated female as they asked my 22 year old son if he understood the math of the markup , indicating that I did not. Don’t waste you time!
