Wonderful car very reliable
2017 Ford Fusion Energi
4/17/22 almost 110,000 miles of carefree service. No issues to report. Still looks great, and runs great. And I will still hold on to it a while longer. 10-17-21 now approaching 100,000 miles, and still trouble free. Only oil changes and 2 air filters. This is a great car. Still averaging over 85 mpg. And still as quiet as ever. (I still miss a trunk, and often wonder if I should have … went with the CMAX energi) but that doesnt matter since ford axed that car also. Looks like I will hang on to my fusion for a few more years to let this whole pandemic fueled price inflation calm down. Over 89,000 miles today, and all of them trouble free. Still achieving 86 mpg, a bit lower but I am driving 5 miles further to work. (About 29 miles one way. )But back to the review. The car is doing fine. This car still presents like a new car. I still wish that Ford would reconsider their plan to stop building cars. Maybe with the renewed concern for the environment Ford will reconsider their "all truck" construction plan. I have to believe there are other consumers, like me that like to have a passenger car, and have no need for a gas thirsty SUV. Car is paid off and owes me nothing. I am strongly considering an all electric to replace this car with, just waiting for them to become more available in my area. (Florida) I still like my Fusion Energi way better then I liked my Prius. Going on 65000 trouble free miles. I still love this car. Way more luxury then my old Prius, and still over 85 mpg Great car, extremely quiet ride. Very well done interior design. I bought this car, mostly because I felt that I could not afford to buy a Prius Prime. Being a Ford, I could find a slightly used one, and get a great deal. I could hardly find a prime, and if I did it was across the country, and cost "new" price. I am glad that I did but the Fusion. This car is very luxurious, way more then the upscale Prime. Real leather seating, not like the Enviroplastic synthetic leather found in the Prime. Great radio! And one other benefit worth noting, people do not automatically have a distaste for you, or blow their horn at you if you are going less then 20 miles per hour over the speed limit. (this happened often in my Prius) To be honest, either car is a great car, we still own the Prius, it is driving my son to college, with only 145000 miles I feel that he will probably own it through out his whole 4 years. But if you are looking for a great plug-in alternative, with twice the luxury, for less price, then Fusion Energi is your car. I charge the car at home, and they allow us to charge free at work. Currently I am averaging 160 mpg. I fill up about once a month, when I get down to 1/4 of a tank. (my ride to work is about 33 miles, so I burn gas for about 7 miles each way.) And we also use it when ever the family goes out. So far it has been perfect. I am only slightly unhappy at Ford, because I just heard that they may discontinue production of this car in the US. I cant help but wonder why, when they seem to have hit a home run with this.
