Almost great equals almost average
Handsome truck but with a number of quality issues. There are many design flaws as well as simply poor build quality. From the cup holders that don't hold cups very well, several recalls, to the cruise control that consistently travels 1-2 mph below set limit, to a fuel gauge that is off by about 100 miles, these are not only my issues, but known issues across the ownership base. My particular tough issue is excessive wind noise. The wind coming in from both driver and passengers side is very loud. They replaced the window seals, but it didn't help. When I took it back Toyota said "It's a loud truck, that's normal". Again, a known issue. Very disappointing from Toyota for an $75K truck.

$76000 -and only one key!!
The truck is okay, but I paid over $75,000 and they gave me only one key! It is now July and still have no idea when they will give me another back up key. I called Toyota and they cannot tell me anything. I am concerned because if anything happens to the one key fob, I am stuck! I can’t believe they have no strategy to fix this!

Dry disappointed in you, Toyota
Electrical issues on a 2023 Tundra TRD Pro. Accessing the harness is very intrusive and the vehicle is never the same when they put it back together.

Electrical problems since day 1!
This is a bad truck! After getting tired of dealing with Ford , I Purchased a brand new Super crew SR5 two weeks ago, it has been at the service shop since then, I had high expectations with the brand... but this is a bad truck, it came with electrical issues in the entertainment system. The issue appeared at the dealer's door at the very moment it was delivered. Making a long story short Toyota tried to fix the issue before replacing the faulty parts...the experience has been by far worst than Ford (which I thought it was the worst, until I purchased Toyota 🫠)

Don’t do it
When you buy a new Toyota, you feel like you were buying quality and reliability, but that is not the case with the new Tundra. The truck came with parts missing, exterior door trim was falling off at 300 miles. Windshield wipers quit working at around 330 miles. Just a poorly built vehicle.

Capstone MAX
Owned a 2015 Tundra Platinum and loved it til this last week when $7k worth of repairs were need (front diff carrier, wheel and hub replaced, etc). So traded it in. Only one key. No ETA. Within the first 100 miles I was pulling an 18 car hauler. Was very powerful. Still to pull my 10k lb travel trailer with it. MPG is around what I got with my 2015 Platinum. This move to a v6 with electric motor is clearly to appease climate activists that hate v8s. No other gain with this design.

Loving it So Far
Bought a limited 4x4 I-force max with TRD off Road package back in June it has been great. I came from a 2016 Tacoma and the power and the 10 speed transmission shifting is far better hands down. I am getting about 16.7 mpg on my in town commute with 35 inch aftermarket tires and 18 inch wheels. There was a slight rattle behind in the plastic on side of the bed but my service department fixed that. My only complaint is I wish the grille surround was color matched instead of aluminum chrome on the limited trim. Probably going to get OEM parts professionally painted and replace that.

Tundra- what happened??
This is my 4th Tundra (Crewmax) I have owned, I couldn’t be more disappointed in the truck, where do I start….. The overall size of the truck has decreased front seats are small, the rear full seat is a joke, barely enough room for my 2 kids to sit comfortably. The storage under the seat is nice but your screwed when u want to carry say a large cooler or tote, while flipping up the seats u now have a bunch of uneven storage bins. Headroom is terrible and I’m only 5’11”. The 4wd system is the absolute worst I have ever seen, in 4wd while towing a trailer up my camp driveway which was ice and snow, the front tires wouldn’t even spin (I’ve contacted the dealer about this by the way) and it’s weird sometimes 4wd works decent other times it’s like I’m in 2wd. I put truck in 4Lo took 3-4 minutes to finally shift out. Did I mention NO TOW HOOKS!!!! Come on Toyota your kidding me, WTF!!! Gas gauge you can’t even see it where it’s located on panel, way at the bottom, makes no sense. Hate the fact the truck shuts off when you open door while using remote start, that’s just stupid. Driver seat has no lumbar extremely uncomfortable. The one nice thing I will say I do like about this truck is the twin turbo V6, goes very well a lot of torque and tows really well, the ride is ok but that makes me nervous that’s it’s built for city driving and not tough like a truck should be. I don’t know Toyota, you built a name for the Tundra because it’s tough, not this 2023 SR5, Terrible, I’m almost embarrassed
Lack of parts and service
Toyota and the dealerships need to look at their ability's relating to parts and service. I purchased a new 2023 Toyota Tundra in October of 2023 and had to bring it to the dearlership where I purchased it on November 24, 2023 because a rat had chewed the wiring harness. The truck is still siting there today because Toyota says they are still working on getting the part (wiring harness). My insurance company has approved and cut the dealership a check since December 7, 2023. The dealership service department can provide no information about anything. We contacted the Toyota resolution center on December 27th and they are just as bad as the dealership...no information and the case worker is never in to take or return calls. Why should it take over 2 months for a part? I am not sure how I can rate the truck for only having it a month, but as far as service and parts go my rating is in the negative.
Poor quality Control, plastic Minivan w/truck body
I have to say, generally Toyota's are bit Tin Can like but this one is unreal. It feels like a kit car that some kid put together. Wind noise that the 2022 had not fixed and no fixes for. Tail gate so much heavier duty that the rest of the truck, it bangs up and down and feels like its going to bend the back of the truck.. Great to have tough tailgate but body so weak it can't support it. Door seals non existent , sound dampening on 60k truck so poor you can hear a cricket out side.. Window? could they transmit more sound? I swear they seem to increase the noise out side. Stay away unless you plan to drive this around a city and put paper bags in the back of it. Its not a truck its a minvan with a bed on it.
